China is much more intelligent than the US.
Depends what their and the US end games are?
Are they the same?
Labour Brings in excellent Renter's Rights - long overdue.
Trump promises increased bombing and regime change. They are presently hitting Tehran one of the most populated cities in the region.
My heart goes out to innocent Iranians.
China is much more intelligent than the US.

I don't believe it can ever be good. Yes, once sci-fi, now a new reality.
This surgeon was on the radio yesterday extolling the good aspects of AI.

Thank you.
China is much more intelligent than the US. They work quietly infiltrating other countries not going in all guns blazing.
I wonder how they will feel with a mini Trump as leader of Iran?
fancythat
Oh, and the latest.
The US cannot cope with several Countries at once.
Russia is no problem they have trouble coping with Ukraine it's if China gets directly involved that will be a problem for the US
Currently China is content to allow be a bystander because whatever the outcome the US will deplete its arsenal then if they really have serious ambitions on Taiwan they may strike.
More likely they expect the US to fail then they can go in and rebuild Iran in return for oil of course, my current bet is that only China will win.
Neither of them will ever be held accountable, IMO. I would be happy with a massive heart attack at this point, though I would rather see him at trial for treason and tried for war crimes.

Hope, for our sake too, we are not dragged into commiting war crimes.
As President and Commander in Chief he has ordered his forces into a war the responsibility is his and ultimately he could be hauled before a court and convicted
If in the unlikely event of that happening he is 77 ? yrs old what does that mean, he is unlikely to serve many years prison before he dies. Netanyahu is the same age, international law means nothing at all to them.

This is a different subject really and needs another thread, if any of us in knowledgable enough to talk about it with any authority.
I w as listening to a GCHQ bod this morning, most of it was gobbledygook to me, but I did understand that the USA is light years ahead of everyone else and this includes warfare. It was very worrying listening to it.
As far as I can understand europe simple does not have the capacity to cope with what is needed. A figure of 6-9 was mentioned with the USA at 40 and pulling away at lightening speed.
That is why I have winced for months, everytime a poster or posters seemed convinced that Europe is strong,
or, we can all join together with Europe and oppose whoever
etc.
That UN is strong.
That NATO is strong[even without US].
The last time the US (together with the UK) put their hand to regime change it ended with the Shah being put in power rather than the democratically elected PM. Why, because the US did not want the oil fields nationalised and the Soviet Union gaining influence. It was a disaster for ordinary Iranians who eventually rose up and put Khomeini in power. The US should keep out of regime change as the motives are never about improving the lives of ordinary people it's all about protecting assets and influence.
Hope, for our sake too, we are not dragged into commiting war crimes.
Just looking at those 3 massive bombers landed in U.K.
Those poor ordinary people in Iran.
Yes, GNs, follow the money.

Trump wants what we all want, a leader in Iran that commits to ending the nuclear programme, renounce terrorism and give equality to women.
What? He isn't concerned about it in the USA, why would he benevolently care about it in Iran?
He wants control of the region, and oil. That is all.

It’s the first time in history that the technology exists to take out a government which doesn’t have wide approval from outside powers. Whether this is used for the greater good and benefit remains unclear. However I think it gives the government in charge of the technology unlimited powers and control. Too sci-fi? But it’s happened.

Yes it is Claude, according to the GCHQ chap.

Do you seriously, by any stretch of the imagination, think that that is:
A) What Trump really wants?
and
B) What poor Iran is likely to end up with?
If you do, I've a bridge I could sell you...

The activity in Equador is joint operation fighting drug gangs that have spilled over from Columbia. The government in Equador is democratic and friendly with the US, it uses the US dollar as currency. I visited a few years ago, police presence was pretty high then due to terrorist attacks, Im not sure if tourism is a safe option now.
I am aware of this. It seems odd that they join him after he bombed them though, was my point.
I would go to Ecuador right now on my way to the Galapagos.

Equality to women? The current US administration is not supporting that in its own country…think abortion laws, the SAVE Bill…not to mention the reaction to the whole JE business.
Can we change the leadership in the USA if we disagree with it too?
Precisely, David.
We have tried to talk to Iran for years but you are up against a backward looking medievalist state who chants "death to America".

^I always thought it was God that did things to end things. Not man.^
There have always been a substantial number of men (and I say 'men' advisably) who believe that God is working through them to carry out his purposes.
That depends which god you are referring to, is the gulf war the Will of Allah ?
Many years ago chatting to a WW1 veteran his opinion having served in the trenches was " there is no god, god would never allow that to happen" he never set foot in a church again
Obviously that link didn’t work.
It explains the remote surgery achieved by using AI.
