Israel and US hit Iran

AGAA4

This war is predicted to be a long one.
It is being said that this is an illegal war as no immediate threat from Iran.
So many lives will be lost if this goes on for a long time.

No immediate threat, so the world should just wait until the threat is there? No, hit them now is the way to go.

Of course Europe is distancing itself, while being secretly very pleased.Europe has suffered from so many attacks from Islamist extremists, proxies of Iran, and real worries that they will acquire nuclear.

Very true

Can only think of those people living under the bombs being dropped, must be so terrifying, is there any sense that the civilians were warned so they could get to safer parts of Iran??

If any of you gave got cars fill them up this is going to affect Oil prices because the Gulf will probably get closed to tankers

The US is able to cripple Iran but Im not sure it will bring about regime change, it will certainly increase suffering of civilians. Iran really does need to renounce nuclear weapons and end its sponsorship of terrorism because the US can go back time and again, that is not in the best interests of Iranians.

What is Trump's purpose and how will he know if he's achieved it? If it is regime change then I think this is going to be a bloody and long war which the American people will not like. It is completely contrary to what Trump promised them! I think he's taking the world even further into danger of a world war.

There is no right way. It could be wrong to attack, it could be wrong not to attack.
There is no 'good' decision.

I understand that regime change is needed in Iran but am not sure this is the way. If innocent civilian lives mount up, which they probably will, the population may cease to see this as liberation and rally round the regime and the military.
It could just go horrendously wrong and the cost to human lives will high.

David the base that the US wanted to use was one of very few that the US could launch their missile. May have been Diego Garcia?

Yes I am pleased to see that Europe is distancing itself.

Nothing of any good will come of this. It never does. Just destruction and death.

Look at Gaza.

There will be many lives lost.

If there is a regime change then perhaps it will be a good thing but we don't know yet how this will play out.

The UK distanced itself from the US in the last attack on Iran by not allowing the use of one of it's military bases.

Any of it's bases

The US base in Bahrain has been hit by missiles.

AGAA4

The US has not listened to the Arab states and has taken the advice from Israel to go war with Iran.
Talks had been going on with Iran who asked for time to consider the terms. This only a few days ago but the US have now attacked.

The regime in Iran is like Putin’s Russia, agree to talks about talks, ask for more time, prevaricate and blow hot and cold while grinning and building up their arms.
There’s no time like the present.

Good!
It’s what so many Iranians have been crying out for. Taking away any chance of them acquiring nuclear weapons, destroying their missiles and hopefully effecting regime change there.
The evil regime has bankrolled too many Islamist extremists all over the Middle East for too many years.

I wonder if any European leaders knew about this, or Starmer?

Doesn’t Congress have to authorise this?

Still I suppose it takes the voters’ minds off Epstein and the dismal poll ratings.

*not give the US clearance

Arab states would but give the US clearance to hit Iran by air, which is why they went by sea, Israel obviously doesn’t need clearance to hit Iran by air. There will be many innocent lives lost.

The US and Israel are at war with Iran. Many lives will be lost. Trump has told Americans there will be casualties.
