I always think that tv blaring on in hospital wards is an abomination no matter what’s on, and feel very sorry for ill patients being subjected to to it.

Not so when Argentina invaded the Falkland Islands. The public saw it very much as a defensive, just war and were fully behind it.
This situation is very different, with the majority viewing it as illegal.
Allowing the US to use British bases after bases on Cyprus were attacked was the right thing to do, a defensive action.

I can't imagine stopping being political even in a care home with substantial physical needs.

You are who you are and that's patronising to assume people don't want to engage politically imo. I know a 92 year old who needs a lot of care but is as sharp as a knife.

Of course it's significant what the public think! We don't want another Iraq!!!

I voted for Starmer and have been disappointed at every turn by him.I still want Labour as the government but not him as PM or Reeves as Chancellor.Am sure he’ll be replaced before the next GE.
It doesn’t matter to me about opinion polls on the war with Iran and what the public think.Generally speaking the public will never want to get involved with any war.

Some mosques and university students are lauding the late ayatollah to the skies ( even though in January he sanctioned the murder of over 36,000 Iranians) he was a monster and they want candle lit vigils for him and no doubt will be marching through London having a protest any day now.

Thank you to Starmer and the people of Great Briton for trying to keep our soldiers, and yours, safe.

They deserve better than to be ruled by this monster. 6 US soldiers have already been killed for this illegal war, and these soldiers can not deny orders.
