Looks like Trump and Netanyahu may be at odds after Israel's strike on South Pars gas. It seems he has rebuked Netanyahu. BBC news.
Yes, that seemed pretty clear. N had changed what he had to say within one day. there were, iirc, before and after speeches both played. Whether T knew or not and it was a charade for the world's benefit, is another matter.
I watched Question Time last night - I don't generally
- my, how attitudes to Starmer have changed, just over this.
Reform and the Conservatives had no applause on this issue because they were quoted (their words were read out) as wanting Starmer to join the USA before Badenoch changed her narrative.
We Streeting was very good on the facts around negotiations which were actually well under way with Iran as regards the nuclear issue and we should have stuck with that for longer.
The Green Party lady (sorry, cant recall her name) said we shouldn't be allowing UK bases for attacks at all. I must admit to mixed feelings on this one. My heart says I agree with her, my head says it was a necessary choice in our circumstances. And I don't feel I know quite enough, either.
Either way it was devastating yet again on the news to watch innocents in Tehran - and Lebanon - suffering, and Hegseth's slick, meaningless, words about regime change.
This was never a way of effecting regime change. Apparently the members of the regime that are left are more hardline than Khamenei. In Iran, some of the regular police have stopped turning up for work as in not supporting the regime, but the Revolutionary Guard as still out in force, no change there.
