I am one of the millions of proud Americans that do NOT support Trump. Yes, there are millions of us. Please spread the word so you know that Americans are embarrassed of Trump and his regime. When our Constitution was written, it was not meant for a person with no morals or intellect to be voted into the presidential office. What has happened in our Country is that we have an extreme influx of immigrants trying to come into the Country using our laws to their advantage. I have seen the same thing happening to England, France and other countries that could offer a better opportunity. The voters wanted someone to control this influx and he, Trump, ran on that promise, he knew he could not remove anyone without threatening them harm, so he hired more bullies, like a gestapo, to get rid of them. He is really not succeeding as he brags but his posse continues to stalk and arrest people and ultimately, these detainees are sitting in holding cells because the law, as it is written, will not allow Trump to just throw people out of the Country. As an American, I do no agree that this Country should take in anyone and everyone just because they want to come here for asylum. But, it is how this Country was formed…all immigrants coming for a better opportunity. Because none of them can afford to live here, some are serious criminals, and many don't want to get regular jobs and be contributors to our Country, immigration is far different than what it was in the past when everyone immigrated here but worked and sweated until they earned a living. These people coming here want to just take from the government as long as possible and they expect we taxpayers to pay for them. It is not working and it needs to be controlled. That is one of the biggest problems for us at the moment.
Iran is there and has always been there. Is it a threat to us? Yes, mainly because they hate the Westerners and they are radical in their beliefs and actions. However, they are a threat to everyone, mainly because they are radical. It is a very small country compared to America but they can hurt the interests of everyone else. If everyone would stay in their own lane and forget about Nuking people this would be a different world! It is those that have Nuclear weapons and threaten to use them that should be kept under control by everyone else, including America.

“Russia’s Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) allegedly considered plans to influence elections in Hungary, including staging an assassination attempt on Prime Minister Viktor Orban in order to strengthen support for him, according to an internal document obtained by European security services, The Washington Post (WP) reported today.

Ahead of Hungary’s parliamentary elections in April, a unit of Russia’s SVR last month expressed concern over declining support for Orban.

In an internal SVR report, operatives proposed drastic measures under the codename “turning point,” including the possibility of “staging an assassination attempt on Viktor Orban” in order to “fundamentally change the paradigm of the election campaign,” WP states.

Such an incident would shift the campaign’s focus from socio-economic issues to emotional themes such as national security and the stability of the political system, it adds.

Polls show that Orban is trailing opposition Tisa party leader Peter Magyar, a former member of his Fidesz party.

According to European security sources, Russian support for Orban also includes social media campaigns portraying him as the sole defender of Hungary’s sovereignty.

Certain narratives have reportedly been spread through Russian diplomats in Budapest, who are said to have cooperated with pro-government media.

The SVR document also proposes a strategy for Orban to present his rule as a guarantor of peace and stability, while his opponent would be portrayed as a “puppet of Brussels,” WP reports.

At the same time, there are indications that Russian operatives have participated in campaigns to discredit opposition candidates, including the spread of disinformation and manipulated content”.
This is in The Serbian Times. I googled it because I’d heard somewhere ( news, podcast not sure?). But I immediately thought of Trumps assassination attempt ( even though he obviously wasn’t president at the time) and how he gained popularity from it. And that the guy who attempted it was taken out and couldn’t be interviewed. Plus the fact that Vance has been in Hungary drumming up support for Orban. Oh how VERY WRONG you are to make that statement. I am an American and am extremely embarrassed by Trump and the Republican Party. Trump is a bully and has allowed, in fact, encouraged, his cabinet to lash out at people in a mean spirited way. Most of us want him removed from office and have started procedures for using the 25th amendment to get him out asap. Trump uses threats to get what he wants and I believe the normal person has never encountered this type of aggressive behavior and threats to sue and destroy someone financially and professionally. He carries out his threats because money doesn’t mean anything to him. Winning does. He pays for attorneys to go after people and if they don’t, he fires them and hires another. There are those that want to be aligned with him because of the notoriety that comes with it. For the money, they are willing to risk their careers. It is sick! From what we see, Trump’s popularity as President has dropped so low that come November, he will have lost the mid terms and our democratic house and senate could take over. This would allow our Country to get back on even ground and take away the dictatorship Trump has assigned himself. He is an evil, petty sub human person, a convicted felon, a liar, a cheat and a complete failure. Rational Americans despise him and and so waiting for him to either die, have a stroke and just get kicked out of office. So, stop thinking we are happy to have him in office. Our political system prevents us from just getting rid of him without having to go through the 25th amendment if forcible removal or him dying from some physical illness because we all can see he is already mentally gone and just getting worse by the minute. Some General probably talked him into agreeing to Iran’s list because, from what I see, Trump did not win anything. In fact, if he did agree, America will have to pay Iran for the rebuilding of their Country. Oh, we also don’t support Israel. The ones that support it are the rich business people that profit from either war or Netanyahu. We do, though, support Ukraine and Zelenskyy. This is just the start.

I too am sick of cod diagnoses - e.g. "my MIL is a narcissist". And understand the feelings of those with mental illnesses (or loved ones in that situation) who feel uncomfortable about someone who is evil being labelled as mentally ill. But the two are not mutually exclusive.

Here we are genuinely presented with a man who clearly is mentally ill: he has paranoia, delusions of grandeur, erratic thinking, poor self control, slow cognitive functioning, personality disorder. The list goes on. All signs of diagnosable mental illness. That he might also be evil is up for debate, but his whole lifestyle and moral foundation (or lack thereof) lean towards this conclusion.

He cannot be nudged out for being evil - would that he could - but he can be removed for being mentally ill. There are processes for this. All it needs is for someone to have the courage to set this in motion.

Until they do the stability of the world, which is fragile at the best of times, is very uncertain indeed.

In reality, this may require a thread of it's own.

The USA is currently in the middle of its downfall, just like every superpower before it all the way back to The Akkadian Empire. It's start predates Trump because empires and superpowers don't fall overnight, but he is without a doubt speeding it up by a long way. His, actions this year alone have probably sped it up by 50 years or more.

I feel the same, perhaps that is more dramatic than I would have put it, for thee is a lot of life left in it yet, and I dont see an apocalyptic scenario, certainly atm, there are many people who what better than we have now big time -

but yes, it will not ever be what it was once, nor certainly what Trump imagines it could be.

No ceasefire due to bombings in Lebanon. Netanyahu has to go.

We can hope, but let's not forget this is the most unstable and power hungry president of the US in the history of the country. And Iran definitely won't give in, it's in their dna to die before surrendering, they'll fight like the rest of the countries the US has already failed in because they can't fight a guerilla war.
The only winning card Trump has is nuclear weapons (or whatever secret bio weapons they may have, but that's a Pandoras box nobody will open) and I'm hoping there's enough rational people that will stop that.

I don't think for one minute it's over, or even close to being over. But hopefully I'll have to ear my words.
