He’s a very naughty boy!

Sorry but laughing at Trump’s latest attempt at ‘divine intervention’ is the only option for me. 😂😂

As Jeremy Vine said this morning, ‘He’s gone full (party) balloon.’

Where are the men in white coats?

That should have said I am sure Vance...

I have no idea if that is the reason he is so quiet. It would be if I were him. I would hang my head on shame and ask the Pope for forgiveness, then repent for my sins and invoke the 25th.

Oh to have a conscious.

I do find it incredible that more Republicans are not standing up to him. It's as if he has people captivated in some way.

Out of fear? It has the most awful echos of past dictators who ruled by fear and ended up committing the most appalling crimes.

This is exactly it. Trump and his cronies are a regime, ruling by fear, I mean if they have the FBI in their pocket just think of how much damage they could do to anyone who attempts to rock the boat. So much for ‘leaders of the free world’, not much freedom in the US right now as far as I can see.

Its blasphemous and deeply insulting, how can anyone excuse this? He has insulted Pope Leo for speaking the truth. He shows no respect to anyone and imagines in his daft head he is above anyone. Surely the church in America will now condemn him.

Blair had parliamentary approval Luckygirl.

He had parliamentary approval but according to Claire Short he didn’t have cabinet approval.
She claimed at the chilcott enquiry that decisions were made by a small number of the chosen few.

Well, it's been a while since I saw my GP, but a member of my extended family is a hospital doctor, but I haven't seen any doctor dressed like this. Is this a common outfit for medical practitioners in the USA?

I don’t remember anyone dressed like this in the famous US series ER. If Trump thinks doctors look like this I imagine he must be on some pretty strong drugs.

He thinks he is The Light of the World with that sparkler in his hand.

Wyllow3 Mon 13-Apr-26 22:34:52

They had a clip of him "apologising and saying he was a doctor" on the news: his voice sounded like a robot. He is so disturbed.

Allira Mon 13-Apr-26 22:43:05

Are they too frightened to section him?

Surely all those sycophants around him would be quite relieved?

One of my favorite shows Fallingstar! Noah Wylie has a new show called The Pitt, I think. I need to watch it..

The Lamp has been compared to the Catholic New Yorker. This was posted today, I believe.

I am not Catholic, so I can't discuss this. I was just passing it along because I thought it was interesting.

Speaking of both sides cleaning up before an election.

Rep Swalwell (D-CA) was accused of sexual assault last week and has suspended his campaign for CA Governor and resigned from Congress.

Rep Gonzales (R-TX) was accused of sexual assault months+ ago and had finally, today announced he is retiring from Congress. Finally.

Let the games begin?

Saw the bbc programme When Harry (Clark) Met the Pope. Really fascinating and showed the Pope as far more centred and reasonable than some of the previous incumbents.

Programme on earlier about the US policy of deporting immigrants on the flimsiest reasons, often with no investigation or logic and excessive brutality. They plan to deport a lot more people and it became clear, because they were not white.

Trump is evil incarnate and a worrying number of Americans seem to agree wholeheartedly.

Exactly this.
Added to everything else, I can't understand why he hasn't been removed as an emergency by the American people.

If I woke from an operation to see that image by my bed, I would assume that the surgery had gone wrong, and I was in trouble...

Ladyleftfieldlover Tue 14-Apr-26 07:56:23

Every time trump behaves badly everyone says that it must be the final straw… insulting a disabled journalist, talking about grabbing women by the pussy, upsetting the parents of a dead serviceman, being found guilty of sexually assaulting a women (he still hasn’t paid her the damages he was ordered to pay), being found unanimously guilty in a court of law, starting an illegal war in Iran (if he hadn’t torn up Obama’s deal this should never have happened) being appallingly rude about the Pope, lying about our troops etc., etc… but he’s still there, in the White House. Why we may ask?

Ladyleftfieldlover Tue 14-Apr-26 07:58:42

I nearly forgot about those women who said he raped them when they were still children. Is all this malarky simply to cover up the Epstein files?

Luckygirl3 Tue 14-Apr-26 08:02:29

It is a good question Ladyleftfieldlover.
It seems that political systems of all persuasions have too few safeguards built in.
Crazy people seem to rise to the top, however fair the systems might seem on paper. And once they get there the people around them are too scared for their own careers and livelihoods to stand up to them.

AGAA4 Tue 14-Apr-26 08:32:17

The backlash against Trump portraying himself as the Messiah is huge. Lying and saying he was portrayed as a doctor has made it worse. How many doctors have golden healing light coming from their hands.
Trump has disgraced his country with this diabolical video.

MaizieD Tue 14-Apr-26 08:36:50

In the current situation in the US, with a Republican majority in Congress, which would never vote to impeach him, the only other way that Trump could be removed is through action by the vice president. Who is as unlikely to act as is Congress.

We’ll just have to out up with him for a bit longer…

Suzieque66 Tue 14-Apr-26 08:37:35

I agree with the statement that he is deranged and unbalanced .. he is so awful that words fail me !

Wyllow3 Tue 14-Apr-26 08:41:48

imaround article is over long and wordy, but he gets down to the heart of it after a bit of theology

"It is difficult to understate just how shocking the image is. No president, no medieval king, no emperor or modern dictator has ever publicly represented himself as Jesus Christ or claimed for himself the ability to raise the dead

To Catholics the posting of this image is, or should be, the most profoundly offensive act imaginable, a grave public sin that brings shame to, and invites God’s judgement upon, our nation. Even for secular readers it must be a staggering reminder of the dangers of divinizing those in authority and of the role institutional Christianity has played historically in preventing it.

A doctor!!! You have to laugh!!!!
Will there be anyone who actually believes him?

Not sure why you’re laughing.
Our doctor dresses like that, doesn’t yours?

😉

Esmay Tue 14-Apr-26 08:57:18

Another deeply offensive act by Trump .

I wonder what's next .
Claiming the British crown?
Living in Buckingham Palace ?
Nothing he says or does remotely surprises me any longer .

Basgetti Tue 14-Apr-26 08:58:01

Wearing a biggly crown as he greets KC?

Luckygirl3 Tue 14-Apr-26 08:58:31

Well my late OH was a doctor and he never wore his robes on the wards!
