I think they're as bad as each other actually, but the ultra left don't seem to get as much condemnation. Also it makes you laugh when you hear these ultra left types speak and they nearly always seem to be middle class, or put on a mockney accent.

I don’t think for even one millisecond that everyone flying the union or St George flag are dangerous right wing thugs.

I do not object the union flag flying on all our official buildings, nor the George flag.

I don’t object either flag being flown or placed on anyone’s private houses, especially during national celebrations or national sporting events.

I completely and utterly condone Robinson and his ilk using these flags in order to intimidate people.

I hate seeing the tatty, dirty flags on every lamppost in our streets.

Maybe some do, but they aren’t all politically aligned animals, certainly not espousing a particular party, they are cause people.

Actually I suppose if it’s saving the environment that they are passionate they might vote Green, but only for that reason, not because they believe everything else they may stand for.

I suspect they might think of themselves as on the left though casdon, it is difficult to say, my guess is the green party don't see themselves as 'of the right.' I find it hard to understand them so I am probably not the best person to analyse them!

I think that is more accurate, I don’t think that there is a ‘far left’ group in the sense that nanna8 and Cumbrianmale53 have described. In fact they are not all politically aligned at all, they espouse whatever cause suits their personal views rather than acting as one group motivated by a leader or an ideology.

I don’t know which group of people you are talking about Cumbrianmale56? There are no far left marches, or protests? People with strong opinions march and protest for specific causes, but there isn’t any group equivalent to the Tommy Robinson crusaders.

Perhaps if others showed a bit of backbone and reclaimed their flags this capitulation could be avoided?

I think I have a fair bit of backbone, having overcome a lot of challenges.
I have zero interest in reclaiming a flag which sadly is being used for all sorts of reasons.

Let’s be clear that antisemitic attacks increased in the UK after the October 2023 Hamas attack in Israel. Shame on us.
