Incidentally, I like to think you are all decent people here on Gransnet.
I don’t understand why anyone would support Yaxley-Lennon, he’s known to associate with, and at times join in with, people who call for violence.
There’s absolutely nothing wrong with living in your country and wanting to preserve your country’s tradition and culture, or being proud of the achievements of your country.
With this pride though comes a responsibility to make our country a better place for all its citizens and residents, not simply the chosen ones.
We’re a decent and educated bunch on here, so please
1) don’t let us fall out arguing over people like YL, Trump & Farage, it’s exactly what these people want, divide and conquer, and 2) if there are any YL followers/supporters on here, can you explain why?
I can very easily explain why I don’t support the three aforementioned people:-
IMO, it doesn’t take half-truths and marches to attract supporters.
I don’t have any issues or problems living in an ethnically diverse community, in fact I welcome it.
I don’t have issues with people claiming Asylum here, if they don’t meet the criteria they need to be returned.
I have no issue with migration, nor with a points based system which looks to recruit people and their families with the skills and knowledge we as a country require.
I don’t care what colour someone’s skin is, what the faith is, how they speak, how they look.
It’s actions and deeds and keeping our laws which counts, at least to me.
Some of the kindest and most decent people I’ve met are not indigenous English folk. I also know great white British born and bred people.
There’s good and bad across all races/faiths/nationalities/colour.
To discriminate against any one person, any one group of people, is simply wrong, it doesn’t match my values, beliefs or moral compass, therefore can support or follow any person or group who believes this to be the right way to act.
