The ego has landed.

petra Wed 20-May-26 13:51:26

I think the ego landed the day his mother gave birth to him.

Oreo Wed 20-May-26 13:51:40

You borrowed that phrase from me! However, for a small fee you may carry on using it.😁

M0nica Wed 20-May-26 14:29:46

It hasn't landed, it is still waxing strong and going everywhere.

AGAA4 Wed 20-May-26 14:57:11

Wherever the ego lands it causes chaos.

IWasFirstClarinet Wed 20-May-26 14:58:47

Sorry Oreo, I was totally unaware. And there was I, thinking I had thought of something smart! Sadly, I have to agree with you MOnica.

He still has an iron clasp on MAGA and GOP

TerriBull Wed 20-May-26 15:08:07

Robbie Williams coined that title for one of his albums ages ago.

Really Terribull ?
Am not a fan so didn’t know, but I used the phrase a while ago on GN as DP had been watching The Eagle Has Landed the day before.
Cracking film btw

We both thought of something smart 😁

When he released the album I thought it was a clever play on words with reference to that film, yes I enjoyed it, the film that is, when I saw it, quite a few years ago now.

Getting back on track with the OP, Trump is certainly full of himself and being best buddies with King Charles has inflated his ego to the fullest. I find that he quickly loses interest in things. He was all out for Greenland not long ago but that's gone quiet and has he forgotten about his war with Iran? Has he been like that with his domestic policies?

silverlining48 Thu 21-May-26 08:13:53

Don’t forget Canada …

M0nica Thu 21-May-26 09:12:14

Trump is discussing building sevral new USAF bases in Greenland.

Maremia Thu 21-May-26 11:14:48

Thomas Massie, who wanted the release of the Epstein Files, has just been ousted, in a most expensive campaign, and a pro Trumper put in place.
Massie is now free range.
He has already appeared with Tucker Carleson, on his show.
Hopefully, this will backfire for Trump.

Jeff Landry recently visited Greenland as an American envoy and spoke to a number of young people there. When he attempted to hand out red MAGA caps they refused to take them and stuck their middle fingers up at him.

I don't know how reliable all this news is but I also read that Jeff Landry has had to cut short his visit as the Greenlanders are so openly hostile towards him.

Trump seems to think he can just plonk US airbases on Greenland at will.

Trump is completely ignoring Jens-Frederick Nielsen (prime minister of Greenland) and affects not to know who he is.

Trump makes me feel as though I have tumbled into a dystopian, parallel universe.

AGAA4 Thu 21-May-26 14:07:27

I heard the Greenlanders were less than friendly. Who can blame them?
They don't want the US there.

Oreo Thu 21-May-26 16:32:35

If Trump would stop threatening to take over Greenland and give the country sweeteners the US could increase their bases there but there has to be something in it for the Greenlanders.

AGAA4 Thu 21-May-26 16:50:21

I doubt the Greenlanders will trust the US at all while Trump is POTUS.

Wyllow3 Thu 21-May-26 17:06:42

The latest is Cuba, aka distract from Iran stand off.

Ladyleftfieldlover Thu 21-May-26 17:19:59

In the meantime don’t forget that Greenland, Iran, Canada, Gaza… etc., are all simply distractions from the Epstein files. A number of women have declared that trump sexually assaulted them when they were under age. Also, don’t forget he still hasn’t paid damages to the woman he was found guilty of sexually assaulting in a department store.

His behaviour towards women journalists (especially if they’re black) is particularly appalling.

I can’t think of a more despicable man.

Kitty55 Sat 23-May-26 13:55:27

He just need more time to insult everybody

knspol Sat 23-May-26 14:09:40

I still find it incredible that so many people in the US have voted and continue to support such a despicable person.
Then again this country invited him to 2 state visits!

nanna8 Sat 23-May-26 14:15:42

Be careful saying nasty things about him on social media. You might be refused entry to the US.
