Honestly? I have no time for either of them but after seeing Musk’s attempt to influence US politics (and presumably bask in Trumps reflected ‘glory’) I wish he would stay a million miles away from British politics.
He has no place here, no credibility IMO, and ought to be deported as an unwelcome alien.
What happened to his plan to send a spaceship to Mars? Be my guest, Elon and bon voyage 🤬🤬🤬

Bbc have a programme called 'The Elon Musk Show'. I've never watched it because I cant stand the man. Things like that just encourage him. The msm should ignore him completely.

The Reform leader has accused the billionaire boss of Tesla of trying to divide the Right by sharing support for Rupert Lowe’s Restore Britain party.

I meant to post this from the DT
The first poll of the by-election campaign showed Reform on 40 per cent just behind Labour’s Andy Burnham on 43 per cent in a knife-edge battle for the seat.
In third place, however, was Restore Britain on 7 per cent, potentially scooping up votes that could help secure the constituency for Nigel Farage’s Reform
Division on the Right could harm Reform’s prospects of victory and increase the chances of handing the seat to Mr Burnham, who is widely expected to mount a challenge for the leadership of the Labour party and the keys to No  10
The intervention by Mr Musk, who previously supported the Reform leader, is also likely to intensify the bitter rivalry between Mr Lowe and Mr Farage after their highly publicised falling out more than a year ago.

A plague on both their houses.

Both detestable men but if they re at loggerheads ..good
May they both go down the ‘drain’ or both step into the spaceship together for eternity

It’s quite amusing I think. Farage kicks Lowe out of Reform when Musk praises Lowe, because he doesn’t like the competition. He then complains that Lowe’s new party is stealing votes from Reform. What did he expect, that Lowe would fade into oblivion? Seriously, Farage looks like a petulant child one this one.

I hope Lowe declares any money he receives from Musk, unlike until pushed his rival.

I have no idea how anyone could think that this deeply unpleasant South African/ American citizen would do anything to benefit the people of Britain.

With Reform and Restore competing this should help Burnham secure the seat.Labour voters there will see that Burnham winning means Starmer going.

Basgetti Mon 25-May-26 08:59:18

Oh, good.

Wyllow3 Mon 25-May-26 09:09:14

Yes, split the far right vote.

But bear in mind the power Musk's money can have in "buying" votes and the long term consequences of letting him interfere.

The sooner they pass that law banning bungs from foreign donors the better.

Lyndie Mon 25-May-26 13:20:11

Elon Musk's paternal Grandmother was British. I expect she influence his interest in Britian.

Whitewavemark2 Mon 25-May-26 13:26:15

Of course the trillionnaire Musk has an advantage over Harbourne a mere billionaire as Musk owns X the SM site and will almost not stop at influencing it is he so wishes in favour of Restore.

Whitewavemark2 Mon 25-May-26 13:30:56

On the other hand GB News a supporter of Reform is owned by Marshall with a pittance of less that a billion and Legatum whose holding is totally opaque, situated in Dubai.

Popcorn? 🍿

Graphite Mon 25-May-26 13:40:48

All three men are equally despicable but funny isn’t is how Reform were very happy to split the Tory vote in 2024 resulting in a Labour government gaining a huge majority on fewer votes than the party received in 2019.

Now the shoe is on the other foot and Farage doesn’t like it.

Musk’s interests are his money and white supremacy. He was raised by a pro-apartheid pervert so it should come as no surprise he is seeking to spread his ideology to as many “developed”, majority white nations as possible. This is a man whose integrity is so low he literally paid voters standing on line to vote in the US in order to influence the election. He wants the people in power who will most closely further his desires of extreme inequity so that he can line his pockets. Whomever is willing to play his game the most will be the winner of his financial support.

Maremia Mon 25-May-26 17:09:10

Please Government, get foreign donations banned soon.

Maremia Mon 25-May-26 17:51:45

A post on Facebook, yes, saying that Musk was being investigated in France because of some possibly dodgy donations.
