He keeps changing his story. That is a big part of the problem that some folk have with him.

He took a £5 million personal gift from Harborne who had already given £10 million to the Brexit Party and would go on to donate a further £12 million to Reform (he same party with a new name). Harborne has made much of his colossal fortune from fossil fuels and crypto gambling. As an MP and leader of a political party, Farage promotes fossil fuels and crypto including generous tax policies. It doesn't take much of a stretch to consider this to be influence particularly since he claimed the payment was a reward for campaigning for Brexit.

Note the paragraph in Greenberg's letter about booking an induction meeting. I would love just one journalist to ask Farage if he bothered to do this.

Note it says: You will need to bring your laptop to your induction meeting.

Remember when he failed to declare 17 interests on time and claimed: I don’t do computers. I can come and fill in a register for you, but I don’t do computers. So I rely on other people to do those things for me.

It may have been a gift but he has chosen to spend it on security.

I dont blame him for wanting to do that. I know all politicians face risk, but I am sure he faces much more vitriol than other politicians.

That’s LibDem Matt Wilkinson.

335 new MPs were elected in July 2024. The inductions took place from 10 July 2024 so not all of the new MPs would have gone to the same session.

When Wilkinson. says we, I think he is talking in general about what people at his particular meeting were told but one can assume the same things were said at each meeting.

And that’s my point really, that had Farage bothered to go to an induction he would have been left in no doubt about this £5 million, or if he still was, he could have asked.

I very much doubt he has used it on security and given how very popular Reform has become I doubt he receives much vitriol from members of the public, probably more so in the HoC where he seems most unpopular.

Anyway, when did you last hear of him mingling with the public? He doesn’t run surgeries or public meetings.

I doubt you have access to his bank accounts to know what he’s spent the £5million gift on. Farage said yesterday it’s nobody’s business. His party chair said Reform funds have been spent on security and Farage also has access to state security in the same way as other MPs in addition.

Nigel is probably staying low as he doesn't want to answer questions concerning his £5m donation. He is hoping the question will go away. He has also kept quiet about Brexit too and hasn't said what he would have done differently to negotiate a Brexit deal. He obviously selectively forgot that the EU would have a say on how the withdrawal from the EU was going to be conducted. Seeing that he has been given £5m for his personal security, what excuse is he giving the people of Clacton for not conducting surgeries? Persons supporting Reform are being duped by this snake oil salesman. Please wake up.

The security excuse is exactly that, an excuse. Farage exposed himself yesterday. He clearly admitted yesterday he can spend it on anything he wants and clearly said it's no one's business what he spends it on......

Any reasonable person would infer that giving Farage a £5million gift to spend however he likes is buying favour...

The issue is that Farage did not declare his gift when he became an MP- he wanted to keep it a secret All the more reason to worry...
