Larry has had to get used to several PM's during his tenure, I hope the Burnham family (if they move in) look after him, he is a national icon.

He came out this morning for his photo shoot before the lectern was set up, so I knew something was going to happen.

Probably thinking "Not again!".

Let's hope Larry is kind to the new PM. He seems to have got rid of quite a few 😾

I'm sure Larry is above such shenanigans!

Larry has stayed longer than most of the recent PMs we have had. He will be ok. The staff will look after him

AGAA4 Mon 22-Jun-26 15:29:26

Larry is his own cat. He will be fine. He has outstayed many PMs.

Visgir1 Mon 22-Jun-26 15:29:55

Non negotiable, he comes with the accommodation 😅

I would accidentally pack Larry in one of the packing boxes when leaving No. 10.

He could do the PM job with one paw tied behind his back. I shall submit his name to the Leadership vote and look forward to Prime Minister Larry running the Labour Party and this country.

I'd vote for Larry! grin

I wonder if Keir ever got attached to the cat 🤔 mind you he was away a lot, so probably didn’t.

Oh, I just so totally agree with you. Feline politics! Watch out Larry's about.

He looks a bit of a bruiser😾 and used to bully poor Palmerston at Number 11.
Reached a good age hasn’t he? Will there be a State Funeral planned?

Plevey08 Mon 22-Jun-26 17:40:07

There should be a State Funeral plan!

TerriBull Mon 22-Jun-26 17:44:54

I have every faith in Larry, he's seen umpteen come and go, I don' think he cares who they are, or what 4 legged creatures they bring with them, he knows it's house and he'll still be there come what May, yeah saw her off, didn't like the Kitten heels! and Palmerston, the cat that is not the politician, he's not that old shock

Mamie Mon 22-Jun-26 17:54:18

Operation Larry Bridge is planned.

I read Larry's bulletins on Youtube regularly, he has a very firm grip on what is going on at Number Ten.

He was born in 2007 and rescued from Battersea by David Cameron in 2011. His official title is Chief Mouser.

When Trump visited Downing Street in 2019, Larry refused to come out from under Trump's car and delayed the schedule.

I just hope Andy Burnham shows him the respect he deserves as one of the longest serving members of staff at Number Ten.

I bet Larry thinks....oh not that bloody lectern again..yawn! yawn! Love to see him jump up onto it and meow down the mic.
