Burnham: Is the Media Tempting Fate by Jumping the Gun?

Going back to politics rather than partiality there were some interesting statistics mentioned in the latest episode of TRIP. We know we have extremely centralised government but this put figures to the perception.

Let's hope not, the "talk" is sensible, if his MPs back him the UK will gradually improve, if not we will end up with a horrible coalition at the next GE. Reform, locally and nationally is becoming fractured and Restore is now gaining support.

Including the Tories that's 3 rightwing parties, if Labour unite they could easily win a GE, it sounds easy doesn't it, back your leader if you want to stay in power.

Has anyone ever wondered why we take on so many immigrants when we are struggling with resources and infrastructure? Is it to patch over the low birth rate? Massage the economy, assist in the wealth accumulation of overseas slum landlords who are buying up most of the old terraced houses for HMO's?
Is it to fill the low end jobs that the UK population won't take on?

Because whatever the answer, it isn't party specific. Since Brexit the tories arranged a landslide record surge of uneducated, single male immigrants into the most struggling North West cities and towns, where ghetto's are already in formation. These towns are now weighted towards the male gender, many of whom do not respect women. This isn't 'diversity', it is unprecedented.

This isn't a single party issue and no single party (no matter what they promise) are invested in any kind of measured dialogue about the topic, nor are they prepared to 'fix' whatever the issue is, since it is quite obviously a very lucrative set up....for someone.

There's a party up and coming that will deal with it!! I have never been a member of a political party but I have joined this one. They are working hard to stand in the next GE and I shall shuffle to my polling station and vote for the first time in years. They stand for those of us who work/retired pay our taxes and are sick of getting ripped off. Not only willing to sort the illegals but also all those Brits that can't be arsed to work and are a drain on the state and taxpayers. The leader is not afraid to ruffle feathers or stand up to the establishment even when hes been threatened. He wants the police to be given back their authority to actually "police" and not be pressured by government or afraid of being racist when arresting criminals. We need to get back to basics and look after our own homeless, stop taxing pensioners, stop giving money to people entering the country illegally and look after our own people first. We are a "soft touch" and it needs to end.

I don’t care where anybody comes from, none of us have much choice in the matter.
I do care what they do particularly if they are PM so will wait and see what AB does, I liked a lot of what he says but am hoping for actions in the next three years.

That must be why AB has given away 15% of his salary to local causes then for some years and plans to continue?

I think your neighbour needs to look more closely at Farage to understand a politician actually on the make- big time!

I dare say the 15% of his salary that AB gives away (and lets us all know about it) is more than offset by the rent he receives on the London ex council flat he purchased when he was an MP.

And diverts attention away from the fact that he hasn’t actually done much else to help the homeless in Manchester which is pretty bad I believe [happy to be corrected]…

Farage, with his partner has purchased in cash, ie mortgage free property to the value of $4million since Britain left Brexit in 2024. He has received a £5million gift from Harborne etc etc. He's much more on the make than AB- no question!

If you don't feel AB has helped the homeless in Grter Manchester either by his financial contributions or the work of his Mayoral office so be it. His key achievements can be easily found on line for anyone who cares to look.

Manchester , like every other city has a problem with homelessness. Fourteen years of austerity that devastated services like drug , alcohol, mental health and family support, alongside lack of social housing has increased homelessness.
