How is a convicted fraudster fit to manage Andy Burnham’s campaign?
Former cabinet minister Louise Haigh has been managing Andy Burnham's campaign. .
“Louise Haigh, the former transport secretary, was delivering a speech at Leeds City Hall on the day it became clear that someone was trying to snuff out her career. A story about her criminal record had been leaked to two news outlets. She resigned the morning after the news broke, on November 29, 2024, after just four months in the job.
If you remember the MP for Sheffield Heeley at all, it’s likely because of what emerged in the weeks that followed: Haigh had pleaded guilty to fraud by misrepresentation in 2014, a fact of which she informed Sir Keir Starmer before her appointment to the Cabinet, but that had been kept from the public. Her version of the story is that she reported her work phone as stolen after she was mugged on a night out in 2013, only to later find it in her drawer. When she switched the phone on, an alert was sent to her employer, Aviva, which referred the case to the police.
Court documents made public at the start of 2025 reveal that she admitted to having lied about the loss of her BlackBerry so that her employer would replace it with a swish ”

They don’t seem to care when they are on the fiddle Labour! Rayners council tax
And another fee she dodge related to a house purchase. When she had been Housing minister.
Rachel Reeves not paying a house related tax or duty. Tried to blame her solicitor. They tax us and make the rules and don’t
Think they need to follow them.
King of the north uncrowned by anyone. Unelected. Walking into Starmer job. He and Rayner had screamed for a general election to be called when the Tories voted a new leader in. Promised the WASPI women they would be compensated when out of office. Not interested when in office.
King Andy wants to move the government up North. How much money would be wasted on that when we are cash strapped to pay for basics like defence, health and housing.
Many who voted for Labour did so as Keir Starmer was a moderate and wouldn’t have voted for Burnham or Rayner to seize power. .
