RIP Kevin Keegan

Oh no! How sad. RIP

So very sad. RIP Kevin YNWA

That’s caught me by surprise - very sad news. RIP Kevin, the Toon loved you.

I had no idea he was 75. I get a shock when I see famous people die, including newsreaders.

Very sad RIP

I really hope he was able to watch England come third in the World Cup.

He was diagnosed with cancer when Himself was poorly last year. I felt sad for him and his family. Cancer is brutal and scary.

Oh, how very sad. One of the good ‘uns! ☹️

It is indeed, and so sorry about your DH.
My DD is only in her late thirties and has cancer. Is horrid.

I’m sorry FGM and what a worry for you fallingstar. I wish your daughter well

Poor old Kevin.

Oh so sad.
Falling star and FGT - so sorry .
FS - I wish your young daughter, a successful treatment and a good future !

Sad news indeed. He was a speaker at a charity dinner I attended a few years ago - came across very well indeed, and was lovely afterwards, chatting and posing for photos with anyone who wanted one.

Such sad news. What a terrible year 2026 is turning out to be. With the reappearance of the mullet hairstyle, I often say to people you have a Kevin Keegan hairstyle.

Kevin Keegan seems to have been a thoroughly decent man. Fallingstar and all best wishes for your daughter.

Very sad news, one of the greats of British sport. RIP Kevin.

RIP Kevin. A really good bloke who wore his heart on his sleeve😢

So very sad. RIP Kevin - one of the great sportsmen. 😢

Thanks for kind wishes. xx
I remember King Kev as a sensitive and gentle man who cared deeply about the game and those he managed as well as the supporters. He was very much a man of the people who never left these shores to make his fortune elsewhere.
Alan Shearer’s tribute made me teary when he simply said ‘My hero, my manager, my friend. Rest easy boss’.😢

I have to add that by not leaving these shores am not referring to his three year signing with a German club. I very much meant in later life as he could so easily have retired from the game and gone elsewhere in the world to live and make a fortune he probably couldn’t have made here in the UK.

Sad news indeed. Such an icon of my youth ☹️
I saw him a few times in Liverpool city centre when I was a student there in the 70s. His hair was so distinctive it was easy to recognise him amongst the shoppers.
Also, went to the Kop to watch him play a few times.

RIP. Loved you playing for Liverpool in the 70s.

I remember having a poster of him on my bedroom wall.

Always came across as a lovely man, and he had a distinguished football career.

Another sad loss this month. R.I.P. KK

I remember my dad having a perm, the Kevin keegan.
Seemed a nice guy RIP

I am sad to hear this. He visited a special school where I worked about 30 years. He was lovely and so charming to the young adults I worked with. I have had a soft spot for him ever since.
