He certainly looks ready for the next step in his life. It will be interesting to see.

I wish you all stopped worshipping this boy and spent the millions his family get from the public purse on the 13 year old s living in temporary accommodation and getting fed from food banks.
Honestly these parasites make me sick.
As do all the brainwashed royalists who STILL believe they are a special breed despite all the evidence to the contrary!

Yes! I wish the Windsors no harm, but the money wasted on them (Buck House renovations, anyone?) could be better spent.

With all the money they have there should be no need to take any monies from the public purse. Let them pay their own way like the rest of us do. Perhaps sell some of the properties or land they own if they get a bit short.
Not interested in the children except to hope that George gets to relax and have fun once away at school, he always looks so serious and seeing him all trussed up in suit and tie on a really hot day at Wimbledon was verging on child cruelty imo.

It's hard to believe so much time has gone by since we were awaiting his birth.
I remembered a poem I wrote about Prince Charles (as he was then) looking forward to becoming a grandfather and musing about joining us - so I've dug it out.
Remember the days of Nellie and Pete?

I'm thinking of joining Gransnet,
I hear they're a wonderful bunch,
They love a good healthy discussion
And some of them meet up for lunch.

They offer support when it's needed
So I think I might give it a whirl,
I'll tell them I'd love a dear grandchild
And this time I hope it's a girl!

A few of them talk of their gardens,
Or knitting and baking a cake,
I think I'll invite them to Highgrove,
They might like to fish/jump in the lake!

I love a robust bit of banter,
But lately I don't get a chance,
If Camilla's 'gorn orf' for a canter,
I have to make do with my plants.

I'm betting Lil's Bar could be funny,
I'd love to pop in for a gin,
Of course I don't ever have money,
Please could Nellie or Pete get one in?

Was it really so long ago?

👏👏👏👏🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Happy birthday Granny Gravy.

How sad it is to see the bitterness that some people feel about the royal family. Of course they should be paid from the public purse for the work they do. Anyone else would expect to be paid for doing a job.
As for the renovation to Buckingham Palace, it doesn't belong to the royal family it belongs to the state.

Hope he likes Eaton.
As for your remark Knspol, I do feel sorry for kids that are in Care Homes etc but not when from the age of 10 to 16 yrs of age when they cause a lot of trouble and expense with what they get up too. Also, when they refuse to attend the last years of school and not go to College. just allowed to stay in the house. Are we really supposed to feel sorry for such and help such lazy people who didn’t bother to get a good start in their life.

Diana died when Harry was younger than George is now, In the same position (son of heir to the throne) except he was the " spare".
Not that relevant when you've lost an affirmative, deeply loving Mum.
Just saying...

I'm not bitter, I just think that other European royals seem to have understood the 21st century rather better than ours have. I am aware that the Crown Estate owns Buckingham Palace, however it has just been renovated at a cost of more than £350 million, but Mr Windsor has decided he doesn't want to live there after all. Luckily he has lots of options! Perhaps Buck House could be part of Mr Burnham's plan to get rough sleepers indoors - more than 700 rooms and lovely catering facilities and gardens,

Harry as a couple of weeks from his 13th birthday, so technically younger I suppose but pretty much the same age as George is now.

William was 15 when he also lost his mum. It’s odd how often that gets brushed aside🤔

Quite right. What on earth are these smirking sycophants on? And how rude to dismiss Paddyanne’s justifiable post as deranged? And yes, anyone with excessive amounts of money and privilege should be prepared for scrutiny. Some of them are so sickeningly rich, they are volunteering for higher taxation.

Frenchgalinspain Thu 23-Jul-26 17:10:53

Definitely a very handsome young gentleman ..

sazz1 Thu 23-Jul-26 19:45:36

I wish him a happy birthday as I would to any child.
I'm not a Royalist and would like our country to become a republic. You could still keep the parades for the tourists but stop keeping the 'Royal family' with taxpayers' money. All the palaces could be open to the public for paid tours, which would generate income for their repairs and upkeep.
I'm not impressed with Charles, Canmy, Kate,William, or Uncle Andrew tbh and certainly would never curtsey to any of them. They just cost our country too much money.

Patrice53 Fri 31-Jul-26 18:46:02

I agree with Paddyanne 54 why worship this child. His parents are so fake William in the pub saying he likes to have a drink he is basically keeping in with the drinkers he is nothing like them. It is all done for attention and Kate is so false apll this at wimbledond sickly smiles it's pathetic. Why don't they sort out the homeless that they talk about but no all talk they are mingers

Calendargirl Fri 31-Jul-26 19:19:07

why worship this child

Not aware anyone on GN does.

Aveline Sat 01-Aug-26 11:51:23

I know. These royal haters seem to have a cartoon view of the Royal family.

GrannyGravy13 Sat 01-Aug-26 12:39:19

I certainly do not worship Prince George or any other members of the Royal family.

I do find the anti-royal bile filled rants unpleasant and unnecessary on a thread about a 13yr olds birthday.

TerriBull Sat 01-Aug-26 13:09:04

Both George's parents are fake. Well now we know because Patricia53, who has a rare insight it seems into the souls and inner thoughts of William and Catherine hmm Furthermore, she, Catherine is very false and had a sickly smiley face at Wimbledon, maybe she just enjoyed the tennis? Well Patricia thinks not so must be true! How should she present at Wimbledon? I'm wondering, with a grim hatchet like face, would that be preferable? By the way, you're kind of giving off a miserable old boot face vibe yourself, particularly if you are of the opinion, smiling makes a person pathetic?

Definition of minger, ugly and smelly. Those too! God you're a harsh critic Patricia, lets hope you've given yourself a good scrub down with some strong carbolic otherwise you could be mistaken for let me think......oh I know a minger! Not any old minger though a really, vitriolic one.

JenniRen Sat 01-Aug-26 13:23:34

'mingers' is such a childish word, one children bandy about when they want to bully others.

As for Catherine and William, of course, we all know they are AI, not real people with thoughts and feelings. And George? He's a younger AI version, not a real child who could be hurt, so unkind, unthinking people can be as nasty as they like.
"If you prick us, do we not bleed?"
