And just to avoid any shouts of Daily Mail, or fake, this image was taken by an Italian journalist last week in a Decathlon store, N. France.
It’s an ill wind that blows nobody any good 🤬
How wonderful you work hard and buy a nice house in a nice area and Andy Burnham PM wants to put foreign men we know nothing about who come from third world countries in the house next door to you and your family and the final straw is they don't have to pay a penny it's all free for them, no wonder they are rushing to board the Mega Boats bringing in 230 men a time here. Ain't life grand well it is for them, utopia.

The country of "fabrication" is a bit loosely referred to as Usines partenaires en Asie - partner factories in Asia. Always somewhere raking in the €€€€€s.
Dinghies even with an "h".
Someone is busy manufacturing them too.
Rubbing their hands as the profits roll in €€€€€€€

Of course, they are perfectly correct but if no boats were available then people wouldn't swim. Although it is possible.
They are profiting from misery.
I think, (might need to check), that Decathlon have stopped selling dingies and canoes in that area?

Well, Decathlon is a French company. 😉
In that inimitable French way, they would shrug and say they have a moral responsibility to provide life-saving equipment to anyone on the water. Their executives have no doubt made a convincing argument that halting sales would directly endanger human lives, if individuals choose to attempt small/big boat channel crossings. Hmmm.
France is quite openly allowing the sale of boats, lifejackets etc, in large quantities. Why do the authorities there not seize these goods, close the outlets and close down the supply chains?
They are enabling the human traffickers and others who are making profits from this chain of misery.
I've puzzled that return them to France suggestion a lot, Doodledog.
I don't know, but maybe people think that by so doing, the incentive to make the dangerous sea crossing will be removed? So they won't land up here costing us money. Let France deal with the consequences, and take the blame, because by turning a bit of a blind eye to their coming across to us, this kind of implies that France isn't bothered about destroying the business model of human trafficking networks which is where the problem starts.
Basically, it is often perceived that France isn't playing the game. She is just shifting the responsibility in an ineffectual, weak way.
Do you understand irony and how it works?

A disgusting comment which should not be said in any context. It's hardly something to joke about and people have been hauled off to prison for saying less.
I'm surprised GN hasn't removed it.Far be it from me to speak on behalf of Cossy but I'd hazard a guess it was sarcasm.
I said in any context and that includes sarcasm. I can't believe people would say such things on here.
Anyone who has read any of Cossy’s posts over the years will realise that she was being sarcastic, unless they are wilfully misunderstanding her.
Just as anyone who has bothered to read the thread instead of butting in after numerous pages will know that the concept of ‘nice leafy’ areas has already been discussed. I made the point ages ago that ‘incomers’, whatever their skin colour or spending power have radically altered the town I live in, for instance.
Doodledog 09.59 - some posters do appear to say that -as does Reform UK as part of its Operation Fortress proposals.
I don't understand the thinking process either. I have not seen any rational explanation why France should be obliged/forced by Reform UK/Operation Fortress to accept UK destined asylum and process them in France. Is Reform UK seeking to make the UK an authoritarian country and Frage a dictator?!
Lets imagine Operation Fortress in reverse- ie an asylum seeker is in the Channel en route to make an asylum application in France - if French boats decided to bring them to the UK instead would a ReformUK government happily accept these asylum seekers and process their application instead of France as France has the same policy in place? No of course not!
If a further Reform UK government refuses to process asylum seekers claiming asylum in the UK why on earth does Reform UK believe France should agree to take them - it is not logical and there is no legal basis to expect this.
Other countries develop bi-lateral agreements. This is not Reform UK's approach, instead Reform seeks to force countries to bend to its will it appears. That is a dictatorship.
Yes I agree MollyNew and Cossy explained herself yesterday at 19.38:
'Of course, I didn’t mean it, even for one second, but I do believe that once upon a time it was mention by a certain person from a certain party, the shooting bit anyhow.
“The Incident: A Reform UK campaign activist named Andrew Parker was recorded by an undercover reporter in Clacton-on-Sea.The Comments: Parker suggested that army recruits should be placed on beaches with guns to use arriving migrants as "target practice," stating they should "just shoot them."”

Smiling here, at a bit of a bonkers situation.
There's a bit of a weird Shadenfruede going on here, isn't there?
Those in towns and cities, changed beyond recognition by having thousands of young men foisted upon them have wondered why more desirable enclaves have been untouched by this social engineering.
" Your turn now" is causing uproar.
The well documented problems caused by our open borders and hundreds of men entering the country without papers should concern us all.
It seems a blind eye can be turned until those feeling safe and away from the consequences of our incredibly foolish immigration policy are affected by hundreds of young men being accommodated in their doorstep.
Not in my back yard applies then.
Perhaps the government will help them adjust by setting up training courses for them in Luton, Bradford or Manchester.

"These young men"
They are not all the same please don't lets lump them together - there are genuine asylum seekers amongst them, and why assume all are not ordinary benign human beings.
When has 'these young men" become a derogatory term??
Allsorts
Cossy, do not agree with much you say, but your post about shooting and gassing people is low, very offensive. I suggest you think before you post. Most of the country are very worried about illegal immigration, that is fact, you are not obviously and are entitled to your view, I take it you have personal experience of living next to one of these centres that house these young men, it's a problem that needs sorting.
👏👏👏👏
Cossy
I have a much simpler and cheaper solution, let’s just shoot them all dead as they step off those boats.
Then we will simply gas all those already here.
There you are, problem solved simply and cheaply.
Gosh no need to go that far 😩

It really doesn't make sense to say we'll send these people back to France, because France is sitting there saying, then we'll just send these same people back to Italy or Spain from whence most of then came to us. And so on.
Yes. I may well be missing a step here, but why does it matter that people turning up on our shores left from France?
Are people saying that France, as a European mainland country, should keep all asylum seekers, even ones who pass through on their way to their intended destination in the UK? I don’t understand.
Does that mean that we, as an island nation, should be able to reject all comers whilst continental countries have to take everyone who wanders through?
If someone can explain that thinking I would be genuinely grateful, as I just don’t follow the logic at all.
Indeed.

Yes Allsorts, what Andrew Parker, an actual Reform person who, 'says it as it is' was offensive.
Cossy, I do believe, was being Devil's Advocate.
