Of someone who knows someone who knows someone who knew some of Catherine’s friends🙄

No need to be sarcy!

Lathyrus3 Fri 28-Aug-26 19:56:18

someone who wasn’t a friend of Catherine but who knew someone who knew her friends told someone she knew that her friends called her Kate and that person passed it on to someone you know who told you. Do you know it for a fact.

Ok.

merlotgran Fri 28-Aug-26 20:27:41

No need to tie yourself in knots, Lathyrus. I’ll leave it with you.

So much being said about their return to the UK, when the truth of the matter is that we know nothing! Our information is all ‘reportedly’ or from ‘a source’, so who knows what was planned, or when.
My problem is how much of a culture shock is it going to be for Archie and Lilli ( it’s only here that she gets called Lillibet) to not only be uprooted and taken to school in a foreign country, among children they don’t know, but to be in a school which I imagine will be completely different from school in America, unless they will be enrolled in a more progressive type of independent school, as opposed to the kind of prep school aristocratic British children go to. Their parents must know that a photograph of them will be worth a fortune to the paparazzo lucky ( or determined) enough to get it, so their security will have been greatly increased, as Harry did say recently that his children would be pursued by paparazzi as soon as they set foot in Britain. There is also the issue of what other children might say to them, unless, of course, they will be incognito in school! Anything is possible.
I just have a sneaking suspicion that Meghan will be spending a lot of time in America attending to her ‘business’, and that boarding school could be an option for the wee souls a couple of years down the line, as I do think M&H are playing the long game.

Even if the paparazzi get photos of the children, no editor in this country will publish them without permission. It’s illegal.

Catherine has always been Catherine ti her family and friends and ifficially.

The only time she has been calked Kate is in the Press.

Have you been “led like a sheep” by the Press in calling her Kate?

🤔

I beg to differ. At the time of her engagement to William I was working on with someone whose niece had been at St Andrews with Catherine.
She was known as Kate amongst her friends.

Furthermore, William apparently referred to Catherine as Kate several times when Tom Bradbury interviewed them about the engagement for the BBC.

icanhandthemback Sat 29-Aug-26 00:59:39

Sorry, his name is Tom Bradby, not Bradbury.

The interview can be seen here and he first calls Catherine Kate at 2:48mins.

Perhaps that is one argument that could be put to bed.

Daddima the children will be fine.
Home is where the parents are.

In California you start school later than here so he has had a kindergarten year (and for the year or two before kindergarten he apparently he went to a licensed early childhood center/ daycare/ preschool) and then the last academic year would have been at elementary school.

Yes, he has changed schools before like thousands of other children do - but with love at home children can adapt.

Are you sure it's illegal in this country?

I'm far from having much knowledge of every law, but my understanding is that doing so without parental consent is a severe breach of civil privacy laws? It's effectively off limits, but not illegal.
Very different in say France or Portugal.

MartavTaurus Sat 29-Aug-26 06:47:31

PS I'm sure H & M are far more clued up on all this than I am, but can the Daily Mail not legally lift images of the children from those that Meghan puts on her social media accounts?

Sorry but I still think Harry is the double of James Hewitt
(Who apparently looks after his old mother now so is obviously a nice person!)

No need for explanations, this photo says it all even down to the front teeth.

Smileless2012 Sat 29-Aug-26 08:42:43

All that photo says is that Harry has a look of James Hewitt petra.

Why are you seemingly wanting this to be true?

The timeline of Princess Diana's relationship with James Hewitt directly contradicts the rumor.

Prince Harry was born September 15, 1984.
Diana and James Hewitt first met in 1986. This was two years after Harry was born.
Hewitt had been hired as her riding instructor.
Their affair began later that year (apparently).

Both Hewitt and Harry have addressed and dismissed the rumor, citing the timeline:
Hewitt has repeatedly stated publicly that the timeline makes it impossible for him to be Harry's father - Harry was already a toddler when he and Diana met.

Harry looks like some of the Spencer family.
Here is a photo alongside his uncle, Charles Spencer.

Why I'm even bothering with this nonsense I can't imagine!

Red hair has run in the Spenser family for generation. You need to remember that Princess Diana was the scion of a family who for many generations have bean part of that close and utterly trustworthy group of friends surrounding the royal family and the women know that there is no playing away until you have given birth to the heir and the spare. It is easy to romanticise the late Princess as a renegade, but she was always very much embedded in the system

I have known some positively poisonous and nasty men who look after their old mother.

Violetbynight Sat 29-Aug-26 09:13:32

I can only see trouble ahead. Certainly they don’t plan to carry out royal duties and will just carry on their lives as mini celebs. It won’t be long before they have enough material for another spiteful book. I give it 6 months, if that, before they move on to pastures new.

The existing threat/promise of another book is one of the problems.

It's not, strictly speaking, illegal (except under certain circumstances) - although there are codes of conduct regarding the publishing of photos of children.

This post has caused quite a reaction, probably because it's such nonsense! 😂

If you look deep into Harry's eyes you will see Charles there. I noticed that some years ago. Of course Charles is much older now.

As for 'nice' people looking after their mothers, well the Kray twins were absolutely devoted to their mother, would have killed for her, and probably did. 😦

I only see a photo of Prince Philip and Prince Harry - not sure why this is relevant to your allegation of him looking like James Hewitt.

The old Hewitt chestnut is very tedious. The only vague resemblance is that they both have ginger hair - so with that premise, we could say that Prince Harry looks like Ed Sheeran, or any other ginger haired male.

And do you really think that he would be 5th in line, and at one time 3rd in line, if there was the very sightest doubt whatsoever? I think not.

TerriBull Sat 29-Aug-26 10:12:29

The red hair gene comes from the Spencer side of the family. I thought on seeing a picture of Diana's sister Sarah a while ago Harry looks very like her imo.

JenniferEccles Sat 29-Aug-26 10:17:08

I wonder how poor Thomas Markle feels about this move?
I’m sure on the one hand he’s pleased that Charles will see much more of his grandchildren, but he can certainly be forgiven for thinking what about me.
He will probably be aware that the move back here is partly in response to Charles’ health, but Thomas himself is in poor health having had a leg amputated.

Is there any further proof needed about what a hard hearted vindictive woman she is?

Chestnut Sat 29-Aug-26 10:21:43

Agreed, people are forgetting how Meghan has brushed her father away like a piece of dirt on her sleeve. He is clearly not good enough for her any more and has been erased from her life.

MissAdventure Sat 29-Aug-26 10:24:14

And he's behaved impeccably, of course.

Indeed, the Spencer gene definitely made it into Harry more than William. His Uncle and Aunts, some of his cousins and of course his paternal Grandfather - all redheads.
