Another attempt by Trump to end the war with Iran

Trump is urging other countries to impose sanctions on Iran.
The problem is most of Iran's trade is with China who have called the sanctions illegal and will not be complying.
Iran say they have been waiting for this from Trump and are well prepared.
It will depend on other countries complying. China have said no. No reply yet from India or Russia.

I think it’s a stretch to blame Trump for that 😂

If MAGA had not been told for a decade this was what he was going to do, I could excuse it. But that isn't what happened. Instead, they were all warned this is exactly what would happen, and that it would eventually come to roost at home, which it has. So yes, I DO blame the voters in this case. They chose to vote for him 3 times. They are getting what they asked for, they just didn't understand it would hurt them as well. That is their problem. Maybe they should take their own advice and pull themselves up by their bootstraps and stop asking for a handout from the government.

And honestly, I bet that farmer is wishing she could have grown up and overlooked a laugh, which is one of the most childish reasons to not vote for someone I have ever heard of in my entire life. He told farmers he was going to deport their workers and they cheered him on. They don't get to expect anyone to feel sorry for them when they were wishing for the downfall of Democracy less than a year ago. They are currently today celebrating what they think is the downfall of Canada because of the trade war. Which is so far from reality is it ridiculous.

Here is another little detail that MAGA hasn't considered. Our Assisted Living facilities are full of Somalis on work visa and Trump just revoked their status. I spent 10 years being the sole caretaker to my grandmother. It is a full time job. They arent going on like having to bring their elders home with dementia because all of the workers have been deported.

I have watched American citizens being gunned down by a gestapo like group of criminals. I have watched people lose health care and food for their kids. I have no sympathy for anyone who knowingly chose to do this to others and got upset when it hurt themselves too.

😕😕😕 I too have zero sympathy for any of his supporters and voters.

I have also voted Tory and regretted it the last time I did it AGAA4. I blamed myself. And am sure there are MAGA voters blaming themselves right now.
My older sister and a neighbour of mine voted Brexit and blame themselves now.
It happens. Sadly there are such a lot of lies peddled in the media that it is getting harder to make an informed decision.

I would never vote for any party that blamed voters for their own failings. I dont blame them at all for voting trump.

Parties don't blame voters but voters can blame themselves.
I voted Tory for a long time but they became intolerable and I felt bad that I had supported them. They didn't blame me for voting for them.

Again I could never vote for a party that talked about people as above. Just not my values.

Which party talks as you are assuming?

Galaxy Thu 27-Aug-26 18:05:53

Please dont follow this advice for reform unless you want them to succeed of course.

Yes Biden was a big mistake, a better, younger candidate should have taken over, but the Dems need to find that better, younger candidate, from a nation as big as the US there has to be a better pool of candidates to choose from, surely?
I think we saw how Starmer’s unpopularity led to Reform being emboldened. On that I agree with Galaxy and Oreo.

I posted this young man a page or two back.
But he’s worth posting again.
There are lots of his videos online.

I believe people bear some responsibility for the way they vote especially when they are aware of the faults of their candidate.
If some of the maga community are suffering now they need to remind themselves that they voted for a man who has caused suffering throughout the whole world.

Galaxy Thu 27-Aug-26 16:52:31

I do blame Oreo for Keir Starmer, though grin, even though I voted for him myself. Perhaps I am not the person to give political advice.

Yes, Smileless.
But now they are finding strong Candidates.

Maremia Thu 27-Aug-26 16:44:51

I agree with you Oreo, about the mistakes the Dems made, in choosing an opponent against Trump.
Thing is though, Maga was happy enough about his stupid and/or cruel policies, until it affected them.

Smileless2012 Thu 27-Aug-26 16:37:12

I do think that Biden has some responsibility for Trump's success. He should never have stood and enabled the Democrats to find a stronger candidate.

Oreo Thu 27-Aug-26 16:15:29

Kamala Harris was a weak candidate chosen quickly by the Democrats because Biden insisted on staying in position for so long that there wasn’t time enough to field a better candidate.
She didn’t help herself by laughing all the time either.
They will need to get a better choice of people for the next election.
It’s always wrong to blame voters for the mistakes that the leader makes.
I voted for Keir Starmer but his mistakes weren’t my fault. To be accurate I voted for the LP but he was the leader at the time.

Galaxy Thu 27-Aug-26 16:06:04

Because they knew Trump, knew who he was, looked at Harris and what she represented and thought I would rather vote for him. That is what to examine, the failings in that, not calling the voters names.

I would say threads like this should act as an example for people in the UK how not to behave towards reform.

Why?

If people are now suffering after voting for Trump they do need to live with their choice.
Hopefully they will choose better next time.

I agree. And we have spent at least a decade telling them he would do exactly this and they laughed in our faces.
To bad, so sad. You going to lose your family farm? Make better choices next time.

Family doesn't want anything to do with you because you have been an arrogant MAGA supporter for 10+ years? No one forced them to make that choice.

They weren't lied to. He told them to their faces he only wanted their votes.

This is what one gets when one votes because of their racism and homophobia.

Fallingstar Thu 27-Aug-26 14:19:44

Loving your posts imaround, good to know the Dems are gaining and the scales are falling from MAGA supporters eyes.
I hope this serves as a lesson to those contemplating voting Reform.

Fallingstar Thu 27-Aug-26 14:17:48

Netanyahu duped Trump - which was incredibly easy - because he has elections coming up and knows he has an uphill struggle with corruption charges to face, so he needed a war with Iran in the bag.
Trump delivered and is now left struggling because a costly war with Iran is not a point scorer with MAGA voters.
The man is a useful idiot to the likes of Netanyahu and Putin, and of no use whatsoever to the rest of the world.
