Mark Carney is becoming the new leader of the western world

I liked that Mark Carney described that all Trumps agreements, or decisions as being written in pencil.

He could not be more correct.

In your opinion.

Given that Trump changes his mind like the wind, and rarely finalises any agreements with other countries, it’s probably pretty accurate in fact. That’s not an opinion, it’s reality, lived through his reported actions.

I know we are in for some tough times ahead with the falling apart of the CUSMA agreement, but I know the majority of Canadians support Carney and his cabinet.

Another here on team Carney and Canada- a better statesman than Trump will and could ever be.

I'm on team Carney. A proper statesman.

I cant help but think it could all backfire.
Could be wrong.

Sorry? Not sure what you mean

Poking the bear.

Trump get his own back, big time, in some way.

I very much doubt it.

However I do think that his behaviour may well get worse after the mid-terms.

Full marks to Carney. The leader Canada needs.

Trump has not done that yet to any world leader who stands up to him though, he actually seems to crumble in the face of adversity.

I respect Carney, he seems an honest man who cares about his country.

It has already backfired. The US is plunging us all into yet another cost of living crisis due to the ongoing war with Iran. Trumps escapades could be called
‘Operation Backfire’.

I agree with all the above and do hope that Burnham does business with Carney as well as getting closer to the EU in order to protect British interests.
The US has become unreliable and dangerous so let’s just forget the special relationship, Trump certainly has.

Trump is a bully and Carney has his mark from the start. You stand up to bullies. Good for him

I do too WW, he's been a breath of fresh air. I've found the flattering approach of other leaders nauseating to say the least, including KS.

Not sure what AB's approach is going to be but I hope he takes a leaf out of Carney's book.
