Let Trump call anything he likes anything he likes. Nobody else will take any notice of him. They will still call Lake Ontario, Lake Ontario. Those using the names he gives places in his presence will be sniggering behind their hands.

At midnight on the day he leaves the Oval office, or departs this life, everything will revert to all the usual names and the brief change will be forgotten within a year, or if remembered be remembered with a snigger.

I will remember for the rest of my life, because I have to pay for his destruction and the reconstruction. Right now it would cost $116k per citizen or $360k per taxpayer to pay off our national debt and he acts like he has a blank check.

I hope when if they charge the entire family with treason, they seize all assets. He's got a few billion laying around that can pay his fair share of the debt.

He can call our lake whatever he wants but we here in Ontario will always call it by its historic name of Lake Ontario.And as another poster said once he is gone it will go back to being known as that.Same as the Gulf of Mexico which he stupidly named the gulf of America.

The disrespect and contempt that Trump holds for us is a pale shield for the inadequacy that drives him. We know our history, we know the value and it is Lake Ontario and he can say the sky is green and pigs fly. Besides, to quote Shakespeare,

By any other name would smell as sweet;“
The sweetness is that it is a part of beautiful Ontario, a part of beautiful Canada.
The man is out of touch with reality and his enablers continue to feed the delusion. Can you imagine how horrible it would be to try to divorce him? The pettiness and vindictive actions to destroy instead of compromise. Well, that’s what Canada is going through right now.

My son in the US says people there are getting inured to Trump’s shenanigans. Whereas at one time there’d have been howls of outrage, now people are just shrugging their shoulders with a ‘Well that’s Trump for you,’ attitude. And Trump finds that infuriating - he craves the attention those moves once created and to be ignored is anathema to him.

Ds says everything will revert to their old names once Trump has gone but we speculated that his next move might be to demand that all babies born from now on are to be called Donald or Donaldina.

Lake Ontario will stay as that for most of the world. Even in the US some people will not change the name.

Best to ignore all this renaming BS , it’s all a distraction from the failure of Trumps war with Iran ( and everything else of course, tariffs, Epstein etc).
Another part of this madness is that the media go along with it and spend time discussing/debating it. I am sure there are many intelligent people in the media so they know as well as WE do that it is all distraction and the ramblings of an old fool who behaves like a child.

He’ll be trying to annex the UK next . Probably call it Mother America ! Scotland will be Trumpland, of course, because he has Scottish blood. How’s about Canada fights back and calls the US the United States of Canada ?
