There are many Iranians who have been born here. It's just speculation to say they have come over in a boat.

That includes myself, and we were very vocal about it.

However, Starmer lost the faith of both his voters and his own party. Not helped by constant bashing by right wing media.

I still think he was treated appallingly, but this is politics and it happens. We don’t have to like it.

I'm not surprised, houses in Welford have been evacuated. RAF Welford is the 2nd largest munitions depot in Europe and the largest operated by the US.

I can’t find any record of an arrest in the North of England that Farage claims to have happened. Maybe someone else can.

I did find this about three London based Iranian nationals who are said to have arrived in the UK by irregular means, including by small boats and a lorry, between 2016 and 2022, that is, under the previous government.

The three men were charged with engaging in conduct likely to assist a foreign intelligence service between 14 August 2024 and 16 February 2025, contrary to Section 3 of the National Security Act 2023 and appeared at Westminster Magistrates Court on Saturday 17 May 2025.

That says a fourth man, arrested on Friday 9 May under the National Security Act, was released without charge on Thursday.
