Anyone going to be reading his latest swipe at the Royal Family which comes out tomorrow?

Me neither!

I've no doubt we'll be treated to snippets all over the various media.

Do you think there'll be a thread on GN? wink

OldFrill Mon 27-Nov-23 18:49:26

Never heard of him until I read this. He'll appreciate the advertising, are you on commission.

I've read Endgame, in fact it was part of my specialist subject at university. It's all about cyclical existence, and it's all pretty absurd. One of the themes is that having someone else in your life, however irritating and a pain in the bum they might be, actually helps assuage your pain.
Oh sorry, that's Samuel Beckett's excellent book.

Alternative title: ‘The Royals - I Don’t Know Anything, So I’ve Made It All Up.’
No, I definitely won’t be reading it.

He is obviously just desperate to smear the Royal Family but I wish Scobie could get the stories straight with Harry and Meghan - they have told multiple versions of the same events - the Oprah interview, "Finding Freedom" (Scobie's previous book), Harry's book "Spare" ... and now Endgame . confused

I can't get beyond his eyebrows.

My heart goes out to the Royal family having to put up with this nonsense for years.

How Harry has the audacity to want to join the RF for Christmas lunch is beyond me. He must think he can sweep all of his lies under the carpet. It is such a money-making exercise.

I would have thought the RF lawyers could have intervened.

Smileless2012 Mon 27-Nov-23 19:36:14

That would have been a more appropriate title Casdon.

V3ra Mon 27-Nov-23 20:45:31

Let's just hope this will indeed be the end of all these tales.
Somehow I doubt it 🤦

Calendargirl Mon 27-Nov-23 21:27:44

Have ordered it from the library.

Freya5 Mon 27-Nov-23 21:41:30

Most definitely not. Made up trash,. Either way, only place fit for it is in the dustbin.

RosiesMaw Mon 27-Nov-23 21:46:06

He is odious and the only guarantee is that this will cause trouble. There could well be a backlash on H and M especially when Scobie chucks spurious mud at the RF.

But curiosity value will result in sales

It’s in umpteen articles in a certain newspaper. The vitriol he has unleashed against the Princess of Wales is astounding. I hope he’s clapped in the tower.

Oh yes, we haven't done that for centuries, time it was re-opened to traitors!!

We could watch them on the telly now.

Even the Sussex supporting New York Times have slated the book.
This book won’t go down well in the USA. They are referring to Harry and Meghan as grifters. The veil has lifted.

Louella12 Mon 27-Nov-23 22:40:39

No idea why anyone would want to read this tripe.

maddyone Mon 27-Nov-23 23:53:07

No, I won’t be buying or reading this book.
Does Harry really want an invite to Sandringham for Christmas? Wow, if true, what a nerve.

He had nothing to do with this book and has said so.

Well that’s good Syracute.

So where does Omid Scobie get his information from?

Meghan?
Completely made up by himself?
An anonymous source, never to be disclosed?

Answers on a postcard please. No prize for getting the right answer.

Endgame- but probably not as the author originally intended as far as I can see, from snippets released and the not very supportive resulting comments…
