It's from a US doctor (see photo of mobile health unit) and FYI Delaney Hall is one of the detention centres for those who have committed no crimes but whole families rounded up by ICE.
"My dear friends. Today I was assaulted by an ICE officer while trying to assist a girl who literally had her shirt ripped off by agents.
As I bent down, ICE grabbed me by the shirt and threw me to the ground. I am just back home after the ER. I have a hematoma on my right knee. A hematoma and abrasions on my left eye socket as my face slammed the pavement.
Both hands have abrasions and I am sore. But ok. CaT scan of head and neck and X-rays at the hospital showed no broken bones.
I am horrified. I was wearing my stethoscope. I was asked to render aid to someone hurt and that’s why I went over to that area. All I could think about was Alex Pretti, also a nurse doing similarly to me. He lost his life. And I for a second wondered if I would too
These agents have no control and they do what they want with no impunity.
The conditions in Delaney Hall are horrible. The water is poisoned. The food has worms. There is inadequate medical help. People can’t get there medications. People have a right to protest that kind of treatment of other human beings
Many of you have known me for years. I believe in talking and walking the walk. That’s why I was there, volunteering medical on a holiday weekend.
This cannot stand.
I can’t thank you enough for all the messages and calls"
Just so's we realise that its still happening and the tactics to make us think of Iran "watch the Squirrel"et al don't work, and its good to see the protests still ongoing.
Robert Kenyon, Reform's candidate for Makerfield. Would you let him in your house?
What are you avoiding doing in this heat?
Is there a toiletry you can no longer buy and miss?
