Me too Sago. My husband was diagnosed with prostate cancer back in 2016, caught early he had the prostate removed and underwent radiotherapy.
Within weeks, after the correct exercise, he had regained control of his bladder. Unfortunately one of the soaps on ITV are covering this issue but showing the victim to have no bladder control, no prospect of a sex life and being very depressed. I do feel that my husbands type of story would encourage more young men to be checked whereas the soap opera story, in my opinion, is more likely to cause the more common male story of head in sand.
However the sad stories of being diagnosed too late for successful treatment such as Chris Hoy might encourage more.
I do feel that it was a big mistake to decide not to check men regularly. After all we women have been encouraged to have regular breast and cervix checks which have saved many lives.
