Wasn't sure where to post this but thought people here might know! I'm looking for a quotation, the gist of which is: "If you do someone a good turn, forget it immediately. If someone does you a good turn, remember it always." Any ideas, fellow pedants?

Can"t help with that one, but this one is common in my house.

Elizabeth Bibesco was a really interesting character. She was the daughter of a Prime Minister (Asquith I think) and married an East European Prince. She was quite outspoken in her views and her early ideas on the marriage of femininity with intellect were way ahead of her time.
