Yep! I think we are just being a bit old fashioned. These days you can bet your life that it is the easiestway which is adopted. hmm

It's a style question but racket is the generally accepted form nowadays.

I once protested when a sub at The Observer turned all my racquets into rackets in an article about Kim Clijsters, only to be told very dismissively that that's how The Observer spells it. (Tennis not really one of my areas of expertise shock)

I think that's how all newspapers spell it nowadays, in fact.

Isn't it called a tennis racquet rather than racket GNHQ?
