I read a letter from a member of the public about this in a national newspaper a while ago. I totally agree it's badly worded.

"Stand in the sink" when descaling the iron or kettle always seems an excessive precaution to me.

It always makes me think of the regulation re escalators that "dogs must be carried" and I wonder about those poor people who don't have a dog. confused

I think we have to ensure that we keep away from children in order to keep us safe (well -they do drain your energy)

That sort of gel soap powder has had a bad press with children eating them shock but I can't quite get my head round the way they've worded the advert.

There is a new Persil advert for some sort of washing machine tablet and at the end it says "Keep away from children." Now if they said "Keep these tablets away from children" it would make more sense, but the general exhortation to avoid children seems a bit OTT -and always makes us chuckle.
