There is a tendency nowadays to call people "progressives" when in fact calling them "regressives" would be much more accurate. It's beginning to annoy me. For instance, people who want to restrict free speech on university campuses are sometimes called "progressives". Why? What is progressive about wanting to restrict free speech?
