When did the word Hoover become synonymous with vacuum cleaner?
You wouldn't hear of anyone saying, ''My Hoover is a Dyson'', would you?
It's like all cars being called Fords, because (I presume) Henry Ford made one of the first cars.
Then you could say, ''My Ford is a Renault''.
