Does it annoy anybody else....

Growing a business. Do they plant them? Heard on TV and also seen in newspapers. Does nobody use increase these days.

I know someone who always refers to his "boy cousin" and his "girl cousin". I am always surprised each time he says it.

People who say 'pacific' when they mean 'specific'. It happens on the media now too.

My music teacher when I was about 16 used to say Allelullia instead of Allelujah. It annoyed me even then.

I know someone in her 30s who refers to her son as little man and her daughter as little lady. It annoys me!

"Would you buy a second hand car show off these men?" On the front of Radio Times this week.

It's rather strange that 'little man' thing, isn't it? No one calls their granddaughter 'little woman'...

I saw a poster on Facebook which said:
'There is no such thing as American English : just English and mistakes!!'

Stop calling grandsons " little men" ! They are children!

I think a lot of Americans do. They also call aluminium 'aloominum'!

A fellow biology teacher used to say nuculus/nucula instead of nucleus/nuclear. Unforgivable! I'm certain she wouldn't describe the road as 'cula rather than clear!

When did schedule become skedule ? All my son's generation say the latter and it annoys me.

Politicians saying 'look..'all the time when they are being interviewed and trying to explain something

Some years ago we had a local politician who began every answer to a question with the words "quite frankly" - for some reason it really annoyed me!

My absolute least favourite word has got to be commiserations. Even just typing it annoys me...

"Know what I mean" really annoys me. When people say chimely instead of chimney. Or calling Matalan Mataland. Or skeleton skelenton....grrrr

People can't seem to pronounce create. They say currate. And I loathe pop of colour and eclectic.

Why is everyone on a journey now, is it dramatic licence ??

"you know" as every second or third phrase, "actually" used in the same way and my boss keeping saying "thinking out the box".

"Around issues" they always say around rather than about.
