"It's very evocative", without saying what it is evocative of?

DH is watching Alex Polizzi in Spain. She has just been into a huge wine cellar, looked around, took in the sight and smell, and said "it's very evocative", but she didn't say what it was evocative of.

I don't think I'm explaining myself very well, but it annoyed me.

I watched it on catch up I think DH secretly has the hots for her

Loved everything about the program, with the exception of the running with bulls, which is cruel and horrible.

Sorry I don't think I'm answering your question at all though am I hildajenniJ ?

I think you can say that something is "evocative" without saying what particular memory, emotion etc. it is evoking. Not sure though.

I think things are evocative of.... so an explanation is needed.

Maybe thought provoking would have been a better turn of phrase.
