Buy or Leave?

Seen in an online discussion - "This shouldn't have gone ahead without a buy or leave."

Is that an actual phrase?

It made sense in the context, as it meant that customers for an event should have had it properly explained to them at the start, giving them the option to take part or not.

By your leave I think. Meaning without your permission.

I though the phrase was 'by your leave' ???

That's what I thought, and was pedantically going to say so, in the discussion. Then I thought - it does actually make sense.

By your leave, meaning a request for permission.
