It seems to be the 'in' thing these days. We watch several television quiz shows and so often youngsters give their names etc. and describe themselves as a 'shtudent'
Why do these silly things irritate so much! But they do!!!

Why have so many people suddenly become unable to pronounce 'str'? It's particularly noticeable on ad for live streaming where she makes the mistake some half a dozen times (I couldnt tell you name of company, I'm just listening out for next mispronunciation!) but I'm suddenly noticing it everywhere!
