I feel this is a rediculas theme to draw a reaction from anyone.
By example, in Distribution Centres, it is always stated that at the start of October the centre will begin "ramping up" operations for the Christmas period. The foregoing makes it clear to staff the shift patterns etc will be changing etc.
In the same, all through the year you will hear it stated that we will be " ramping up the output of "whatever product" as it is going onto special offer". That informs the staff that a picking operation pattern will change. Many other industries use the exact same phrase for staff information.
Perhaps those who do not like the phrase would care to put forward an alternative to this simple two-word phrase that is widely understood and accepted throughout the working world.
