"re-wild" could we find a better word, please?

Just read elsewhere Are you going to re-wild your garden?

I do hope the expression doesn't catch on.

"wild" is an adjective not a verb, please let us keep it that way!

Could we say, "I am letting my garden grow wild." or is there an even better expression?

Have just heard there is a hill fort near Clevedon which is going to be 're-wilded'. Which considering it has been clear of trees and shrubs since the Neolithic when the land was originally cleared, seems a very strange idea

I find it highly recognisable and clear even though maybe grammatically questionable. Who cares? I've no intention of participating in the suggestion, by the way.
