Another funny moment I remember, DD was tasked with waiting for a new mattress to be picked up (wrong size) the collection was unprofessional, I said: " How odd? Was it the bed company? "
She replied I think so, it said 'Nightfright' on the lorry"
Me: "That's an odd name for a bedding company" 😂

*kirkcubbin2000 “peaked” when it relates to being GC (gender critical), and becoming aware of issues like AGP (autogynephilia) and ROGD (rapid onset gender dysphoria).

My DDS are both dyslexic and had special lessons at the dyslexia institute near Newcastle, to help them adapt and cope with the condition.

However, I can still see horrified shoppers in Asda, as DD1 yelled down the freezer aisle that they were selling bastard chickens! (basted).

Dyslexia - now there's a cruel joke.... Fancy spelling it like that! 😎
DD is, though she's not let her hold her back - once she got out of school anyway. (The English teacher said there was "No such thing")

At university she used Dragon software & her dissertation truly made me cry - the first substantial piece of work I'd ever seen from her.
However, we've all learned to live with it & probably become more tollerant, understanding people because of her.

We've had some hilarious moments too -
Like the time she was having her 2nd endoscopy & texted me " *what do I wash my bowls with? "
Me: "Fairy?"
DD meant the medication for bowels! 😂

Thank you to whoever kindly put the video beside my post"Coping with Dyslexia', unfortunately, I can not open it and after 70 + years of trying to cope I don't think a gransnet video is going to do much difference.

I'm one who often gets my words muddled up, and the same with spelling I started the border/boarder laugh everyone had at my expense last year.
When it irritates just remember that the people who make the mistakes aren't doing it on purpose and could have an underlying problem Dyslexia in my case.
It runs in my family some of my GC has it, though DH can tell you all the Latin and Greek routes.
My family inherited from a very famous English poet who most of you could quote some of his poetry and actually had to have everything proofread before publishing.

My response would be to ask them who they propose to "lend" the money to! Causes endless confusion.

Ashley Banjo and Carol Vorderman are hosting the Pride of Britain Awards on TV tonight.
In the trailer, Ashley says ‘join Carol and I’…. It may be he wrote that himself, in which case he should’ve been told it’s Carol and me. Surely, a script writer should have known better though, if professionally written?

Good way of remembering Elegran

At school Georgesgran we were taught to break the phrase down, in this case you would say “join Carol” and “join me”.
“Join I” just sounds so wrong.
Do you think they don’t teach that any more?
