‘New Year’s’ - instead of New Year’s Eve

I thought I might as well end the year with a grumpy old pedant whinge - I do hate ‘New Year’s - and it’s usually minus the apostrophe, too, which gives me something else to get pedantically irritated about.
Here’s wishing all ye pedants a very enjoyable New Year’s Eve anyway, whatever you’ll be doing. đŸ„‚đŸŸ Even if it’s going to bed with a good book at 9 pm.

New Year's Eve will always be Hogmanay for me.
Happy Hogmanay everyone. đŸ„ł
