The proof is in the pudding - aaaargh!

Brian Bilston is a great poet and if you have not tried any of his books, do, they are clever and funny and make you think !

Dogsjj Thu 19-Sept-24 15:55:50

What is this all about?

MorbihanPrincess Thu 19-Sept-24 15:57:47

I love Brio Bilstons verse. He always raises a smile.

That one really annoys me and it is spreading!

Missed any previous posting of this. It's wonderful! I must share with my literary family.....

Nannan2 Fri 20-Sept-24 00:49:40

No, not for me- its just a nonsence made up of jumbled up sayings😐

Nannan2 Fri 20-Sept-24 00:50:12

I prefer real poetry.

Summerfly Sat 21-Sept-24 23:14:33

I can’t agree that it’s ‘nonsense’ - it’s surely a collection of common malapropisms, very cleverly set to verse.

Babs03 Mon 23-Sept-24 20:51:00

Lovely!
Reminds me of my old mum who was adept at malapropisms. From bisexual hairdressers - unisex, to consulate rooms in the hospital - consulting rooms.
We would fall around laughing, but the very best was when she accused my dad who was showing off of ‘blowing his own strumpet’.

Love it. 😂😂😂
We had a vicar who frequently used “without further adieu”. It always greated!
