I thought you’d appreciate this!

We used to live in a conservation area but evidently we won’t any more. I’m not bothered as the planning people are very lax anyway unless there is a tree threatening your house and then they will move heaven and earth to make sure you can’t have it cut down. I did plough through 125 pages of mainly copy and paste bumf but the flying apostrophes and misspellings and inaccuracies astounded me. Our council tax is paying for these people who can’t be bothered to proof read .

BTW, while I was waiting to pay, the volunteer behind the counter was telling 2 other women (after they’d asked) whether the NT house was haunted.
She replied (among other things) that a visitor had once remarked on how nice it was that they had people in period costume in the house.
Except that they had nobody doing any such thing! 😱👻
