November 5th
I sat outside, (with dogs), at a restaurant in Padstow today for lunch. Not even a coat! Ok, so it wasn't sunny, but we've had far worse weather in June or September.
I even chose a summery salad!! Yummy burrato, honey roast figs, salsa verde, chopped walnuts and sourdough. 😋

Just imagine living in parts of Scandinavia where there is almost constant twilight as days get shorter and shorter. That really would be dreary.

I prefer cooler weather too, though I prefer it a little brighter than today.

Well, mae13, your OP could have been posted almost any time in June July August here in the north west

No complaints from me,I love this sort of weather and the winter that’s to come.
Summer I could do without.. 🤷‍♀️

mael3 (and possibly others) Do you think you might have a seasonal affective disorder?

I quite enjoy the in-between weather. Mind you, last summer was too in-between even for me.

No sun here for 10 days but thankful it is at least dry.

Had a bit of a break yesterday afternoon and forecast for today also says sunny spells.

Depends where you are- I had a gloriously sunny day at LymeRegis on Thursday- too warm for a coat!

Just glad it’s not raining.

I don’t care what Thomas Hood says, I’d like a little bit of sun.

RosiesMaw2 Tue 05-Nov-24 11:03:54

What do you expect - it’s November.
Thomas Hood sums it up

No sun — no moon
No morn — no noon
No dawn — no dusk — no proper time of day

No warmth, no cheerfulness, no healthful ease,
No comfortable feel in any member
No shade, no shine, no butterflies, no bees
No fruits, no flowers, no leaves, no birds. !

November !

The eighth day in a row of unbroken, dull, dreary grey cloud. Give me strength!
