I've got a friend (she's 68) who writes like that. Her texts to me often say things like "Me and hubby went their last week" or "Know, I didn't see there children"....she gets "No and "Know" mixed up!

End of October, I find myself rushing to M&S to get advent calendars that actually show the nativity story rather than Bart Simpson etc

Speaking of shelf’s, some years ago there was a notice in the office saying ‘ Do not put anything on this shelve.’
Eventually, after I remarked on it, the office manager said ‘ I was wondering how long it would take for someone to comment.’

I did restrain myself today... but seriously I think there is something very unattractive and rather malevolent about them. And they are everywhere!!!

But, each to their own...

I agree - I absolutely detest the stupid things! Just another means to get people to spend more money on useless tat...

As for elves on their shelves, well, if anybody can be bothered with the pesky things, good luck to them. My dd has never done the elf thing, and TBH I don’t think the Gdcs (10, 9, 5) have ever asked or felt deprived!

You could of believed it.

Thank goodness my granddaughter hasn't got invested in the elf on a shelf nonsense. From the age of 4 when her father left she did have a couple of visiting elves who reported her behaviour back to Santa but they just sat on her bed.
