Oh yes I liked that. That's just what cats do, when you finally open the door they hesitate before coming in.

I love it! It is so much like my cats behave. I have a cat flap in the front door but they always try the back first. The flap is for going out of immediately after being let in at the rear!

I am going to visit my GC and grandcats this weekend and this is exactly what they did - demanded to be let in through the french window and then rushed round to the cat flap and did it all again - until I drew the curtains and ignored them. They got the message - eventually.

PS - I meant the cats, not the kids - they would have trouble with the cat flap.

Anno, my daughter once got stuck in the cat flap. She was about three and was following her beloved tabby. It took a lot of DIY to release her.

That was a very talented, gentle cartoon animation. And yes, does remind me of most of the cats I have known.

One of our cats used to live next door-but-one too. He used to climb up their garage roof to their bedroom window, howl to be let in, howl to be let out of the bedroom, go out of the cat flap, climb up the garage roof etc etc!

I love the Simon's Cat series - the cat always pointing to his mouth for food. We had a friend who had a large ginger tom. He slept all day at home, had his meal, went out for the night, came home . had a meal. This was his usual routine. However, one time he didn't come home for several days. So posters were put up, with a phone number, all over the area. Eventually someone rang to say the lost cat sounded very like their ginger cat. Except the cat had been injured, broken a leg and was confined to the house. Long story short. It was our friend's cat he'd been living a 'double life' for several years. The 2nd owners though he was a stray. So once he left house A, with a full stomach, he went to house B for the night, being fed again and slept the night, breakfast and off to house A. The two owners decided to keep the cat's way of life only reducing his food intake as he was getting quite fat.

Brilliant, reminds me of my aunt's cat she used to jump up on the door handle and the door would swing back against the wall.

Mr absent and I are supposed to be decorating the house but we have just wasted a huge amount of time looking at all the Simon's Cat cartoons. Thanks baubles

I love cats, too, and I loved this. A few years ago I saw a cartoon video of a cat trying to wake up his owner - just so funny - and so like my cat. I wonder if I can find it again?

Long ago, my parents had a spooky Siamese cat named Tailoo. On an occasion when I was staying with the family, I noted that the grandfather clock had stopped. I mentioned this to my father. He asked, what time does it say? I think that it was around three o'clock [that would have been a.m.] Father said...that's Tailoo for you. Whenever he wants to go out in the early hours, he jumps on the bed and harasses me. If I neglect to do as he wants, he nudges against the door on the grandfather clock...it opens...he puts a paw in and stops the pendulum. Hard to believe that a cat would do such a thing...except Tailoo was no ordinary moggy.

Being a control freak, I can't stand cats but thoses cartoons are brilliant

"Simons Cat" has been a favourite of mine for quite some time! There is an official website with all the films on. Just Google it and enjoy!
