Andie watched Paul O'Grady for the love of dogs last night.

Andie is clearly a very lucky dog.

HUNTERF Are you fully aware that Andie is a dog? Are you fully aware that anthropomorphism is slightly worrying in adults.

Dogs can notice other dogs on television.

That is so true Frank - about dogs not getting a holiday because of the extra walking they get to do.

My old Basset Henry used to love going into kennels and bound up the drive when we dropped him off if we where away for a week or two,the owner spoilt him and allowed him to sleep on his bed or sofa ! something he was never allowed to do at home when we used to collect him he had to be made to get into the back of the car for the journey home.

My basset Nell watches Paul O'Grady with interest. She always responds when puppies squeal and growl. She loves boarding with the woman who runs doggie daycare, as she gets to share a comfy sofa or bean bag with several other dogs that she knows, run freely in the fenced meadow, and parade round her conservatory supervising the chickens on the other side of the door. Not a kennel or run in sight, just a family home to stay in, which is ideal. She's not allowed on furniture or beds at home, but does as she likes there - bit like going to stay at grandma's!

I am aware Andie is a dog.
What does amaze me is if I do something like change a light or a switch Andie wants to watch from a safe distance.
Also when I pay out money he seems to take an interest.
I think he is checking I will have money to buy him food.

I see they've resurrected that Specsavers advert where a shepherd shears his sheepdog as well as the sheep. Our Jack Russell, Millie hates it and hurls herself at the TV. I'm not sure whether she's trying to bite the dog, the sheep or the short-sighted bloke.

I'd never go to Specsavers but I love their adverts, especially that one.

Whenim - your dog's home-from-home sounds exactly like the place we take ours to. She absolutely adores it there, and gets so excited as we approach the farm she squeaks and barks as we approach the farm and then jumps out of the car and stands on her hind legs at the gate waiting impatiently to be let in! Come to think of it - it is in such a gorgeous situation in the Forest and the family who run it are so nice - I wouldn't mind boarding there myself!!!!

Our dog hates the dog in 'Midsummer Murders' gets quite upset.......does not have a problem with any other ones.

Probably jealous of all the things Sykes can do

I keep telling my dogs to lay off Sykes. He's earning a fortune and is now on the Go Compare adverts.
