My cat is a repossessed stray. He was initially rescued by a friend who couldn't keep him as she has two dogs who see cats as prey.
My previous beloved old cat had died a couple of months previously.
Current cat is a voracious eater, and even though I've wormed and flea'd him, two months' on, he's still vacuuming up one and a half large tins of Felix and the dry equivalent of James Wellbeloved Senior Turkey Biscuits.
He's a large cat - in Imperial measurements, a yard long and just over a stone in weight.
When he arrived, he was very bony: spineous processes and ribs very prominent.
A steady re-feeding programme has improved this, but I wonder if he will ever feel confident of always having food available when he needs it.
I'm making sure that I always have a couple of full trays of meat available in case of shortages. Also a couple of bags of dry food.
He costs more to feed than my elderly purebred Arabian horse, and he's 16hh!
