Try Easypill. Got mine from Amazon. It's a sort of sticky paste that you wrap round the tablet. It's suggested that you roll a few small bits up like treats to give to the cat first, then slip in the one with the pill. It worked like magic with our cats.

I buy cheap pate for my dog who needs two tablets per day for arthritis. She loves pate even with a tablet rolled inside. Try fish paste or the like. Years ago we had a lovely placid cat but at the vets she was an absolute devil. Vet used to call her the “heller” cat - we were very friendly with the vet.

The worming tablets my dog has from the vet are palatable so she will just eat them as a treat. Anything else I grind between 2 spoons and mix with a teaspoon of food or some butter.

We have one of those syringe-y things! Two f our cats are fairly easy but the 3rd can read your mind and disappears.

My dog will eat anything if I break it up small enough and hide it in a little ball of Cheddar cheese. As Hetty58 says, I offer a few plain pieces of cheese first to lure her into a false sense of security.

I spend many 'happy' hours rolling miniscule pieces of worming tablet into tiny cheese balls. A girl needs a hobby. smile

I don't think cats should eat cheese, but her favourite food might be worth a try.

I think it’s all in the attitude. They can smell your fear!
My aunty can do anything to a cat, as they know she’s boss.
Unfortunately I don’t have the knack.
Shelflife now that the cat is expecting a bit of a tussle you are on a loser already (sorry).

My vet showed me how to do it.
Hand on the top of the head opening the mouth with index finger and thumb. Pop tablet in shut mouth. It never failed.
This was with a large feisty cat.

Lick e lix squeezy tubes.
Try mixing it with that. My uber fussy cat loves them.

I’m sure that someone will post that brilliant Giving a Pill to a Cat story by the Canadian vet soon (please!)

My cat has spot on treatment which includes wormer in it. Perhaps you could use that instead?

Good luck, cats are very infuriating!

My friend used to wrap the cat tightly in a towel, open the mouth and put a pen across to keep the mouth open and stop the cat biting and quickly push a pill to the back of the mouth, past the point of getting it back out! Needed two pairs of hands and took a bit of doing but it worked! Good luck.

Hide the tablet (or half of) in her favourite treat, like a piece of chicken. Feed her a few pieces first - then offer the tablet-filled one. It works for mine!

My cat is a softie - until I want to get a worming tablet down her! Had no trouble with previous cats but this one is a nightmare! Tried every , wrapping her in a towel with DH helping , crushing and mixing with food but to no avail. Have asked the vet to do it for me , he took her into a side room to do the job! !! Said it was a struggle but managed it. She instinctively knows when I approach her with a tablet and is on her guard! Any advise please , I have managed it a few times but it’s a huge struggle and I do not want to get bitten!!!
It is so out of character for her as she is a lap cat and has never shown aggression - unless she is aware of a tablet ! Any advise please??
