Have you seen that irritating advert on Facebook for Kat Kin cat food, supposedly tailor made for your own cat?
I must say I'm fed up of chucking out uneaten food, (how ever did i manage to get two such fussy cats?), and although this stuff is expensive, so it putting stale cat food out for the birds.
I think I might give it a try .......

I tried it for my extremely fussy cat because she is gaining weight ExDancer.

She didn't like it. I tried for over a day and she just refused it and kept crying pitifully which made me feel awful. So on Saturday I passed on the rest of the packets to my son and his two cats loved it and gobbled it up.

However, his cats eat everything anyway, whereas my Little Miss Picky doesn't like change.

I hope your cats are more like my son's two than mine.

If your cat goes outside, putting her unwanted food out for the birds is a marvellous idea. She will doubtless wolf the food on the grounds that charity begins at home. It has always worked with mine.

I have become wise to the fact that kittens and young cats should be accustomed to more than one brand of cat food, preferably three or four - that way there is a slim chance that they won't become too fussy as they grow up.

However, there are limits, where you do need to be accomodating. Three different cats were unable to eat kibble from one well-known chain of supermarkets without sicking it up again - so we obviously changed brand.

One of two successive pairs of cats loves cat food that contains liver, the sibling of each cat refused point-blank to eat it.

Cats can and do have their likes and dislikes, and there is no way a cat will eat something he or she dislikes. But we can hardly complain, can we? We have our likes and dislikes too.

No I don’t get that one but I don’t have a cat so guess that’s why, they know I m not interested in cat food 🤣

Our cat has become picky as he gets older and often leaves food in his dish. One of our dogs who is on a strict diet tries every which way to get at the dish before we pick it up. smile
