Will you be watching the first episode of the final series of Paul O'Grady's "For the love of dogs" this evening? (ITV, 8.30 p.m.) I haven't heard a single bad word said about him since his sadly premature and unexpected passing. Seemed like a genuinely caring, lovely man, with unusually, his public persona so closely matching his private one. R.I.P Paul. You are so sadly missed, both by people and pooches.

For some reason, only 30 minutes is being shown this evening. I do not usually give celebrities who have died, a passing thought but Paul was special because he really cared about animals.

In the last episode, I loved seeing his own sheep running towards him for attention when they heard his voice.

He will be sadly missed, not only by the Battersea staff.

Will be watching. Think he will be missed from our screens.
He’s had a wonderful career. Funny but seemed a genuinely nice person.

Poignant viewing 😥😥😥
If there is a Rainbow Bridge, Paul O’Grady is surely waiting on that far side surrounded by much- loved and loving friends.
They say dogs are an excellent judge of character - we are seeing this. 🐶

I thought he was a lovely, warm, caring, sincere man. I loved the programme and watched it last night with tears in my eyes.

I watched it. I'm not a dog person but how Paul was with those animals was heartwarming.

I was a great admirer of Paul as well. A genuine down to earth entertainer with a very kind heart.
Like Nana Dana I have not seen or heard one adverse comment about him since he died. The chief vet at Battersea said half the material filmed there with Paul was unbroadcastable due to Paul's sense of humour. I would imagine they had some great fun there.

Yes, watched and loved it. As everyone has said, Paul was a warm, tender, funny, caring man who will be missed by so many. ♥️

Thank you for the reminder NanaDana, I set a series record.

I was really impressed with the high standard of care from every member of staff and Paul was obviously a very welcome visitor.

I think my favourite dog was timid little Katie, it was so lovely seeing how she blossomed once she was paired up with a friend 🤗
