Automatic cat feeder

Hi, Has anyone got an automatic cat feeder which is triggered by the cat’s chip? There are quite an Amazon which work for 7 + days but they are operated by a timer, much like the plug in lights. We have another local cat who comes into the garage and eats our cat’s food!! She is very greedy! I have seen some feeders activated by the chip but they only seem to deliver 3 meals a day, I need it for the week as we’re going on holiday. Thanks

But they only dispense dry food, not meat - at least the ones I've seen do. Won't a neighbour come and leave food night and morning?
Or teenagers, for a fee? It is school holidays after all.

How does your cat get into the garage? A chip activated catflap might help solve the problem - it did for us.

I've only used feeders with timers, I'm afraid, the main one being a round one that delivers 6 meals.

We pay someone £9 per day to come in twice a day to feed and pet ours.

KittyL's solution is the best if you can find someone. I am lucky, a neighbour and I look after each other's pets.
Our village has a FB chat room where we can post requests for help in these situations - not just pet feeding, lawn mowing, shopping, lifts to doctors etc - can you check with friends and see if there's a similar set-up in your area?
Have you any friends with teenage children you can trust to come and leave food (in a garage or porch rather that giving them access to your house?)
I'd much rather trust a friend than a gadget, but that's just me.
