Our cat, almost 7 years old, has developed Diabetes. Eating loads, drinking loads, peeing loads, lethargic (though aren't we all in this weather). and very clingy. Blood tests and urine sample tests have just revealed this diagnosis. Have been offereed two different types of treatment - insulin injectons twice a day, or a newish liquid treatment Senvelgo once a day. The latter is super expensive, though we do have insurance thank goodness. Does anyone have any experience of a diabetic cat? And any experience of either type of treatment?

How would you get on giving your cat liquid medicine once a day? Sometimes with cats, injections are easier!

Had a look & I would go for the latter as it is supposed to slow the progression of the diabetes rather than just replacing the insulin. (helps endogenous insulin production). Your cat is still relatively young , so this sounds a good optio
